Hey y'all!
For organizational purposes, I'll post my body stats first:
Weight: 117lbs (as of 8/3/17. It might change when surgery day comes. I'll update this if it changes)
Height: 5'1
Pre-Op: 32B
Post-Op: Aiming for 32D or 32DD, but am open to other sizes that would achieve the look I want
Waist: 28 inches (Normally I'm 25 inches but am bigger now due to psych medication weight gain side effects. I finally got off the psych meds a month ago so my weight/size is decreasing)
Hips: 37 inches (aiming to decrease this to 35 inches)
Ethnicity/Race: Asian
BOOBS HISTORY:
I've been wanting a BA for at least 10 years now. Not only did I not grow past 5'1 after like 6th grade, but my boobs never really grew either. I was on birth control at age 16 for Accutane, which increased my 32A boobs to very full 32B's bordering on tiny 32C's, and once I got off the birth control after 3 months, they deflated to small 32B's. I am now 27 years old and my boobs look really nice considered for its petite size, but I just wish they were bigger.
Before I used to HATE my boobs, but I've learned to accept and appreciate them after having a Boudoir session in Atlanta and the fact that my boyfriend prefers petite boobs anyway. Having said that, I think I am in a good spot mentally for having a BA done. I've read that although BA's help boost self-confidence, it can't wipe away self-esteem issues. I am grateful that my boyfriend fully supports me having my boobs done and encourages me to do it for myself, not for him or for anyone else. When I've been showing him examples of sizes I like, he usually is neutral and gives me a "yeah that's fine", but I realize that the neutral response is good so that I can form my own opinions on what I want and not get swayed by his opinions.
CONSULTATION:
I originally made an appointment with the doctor my friend used in Paris, TN, but I am deciding to go with Dr. Brian Arslanian from Atlanta, GA after having a free Skype consultation from him and finding out that what I want aligns exactly with what Dr. Arslanian prefers to do during breast augmentations.
*Transaxillary*
I wanted the implants put in via the armpit (transaxillary) for the same reason Dr. Arslanian presented. The scar at the armpit is pretty much invisible after healing. The point of having a BA done is to have nice looking breasts; why would we want to add a scar directly on the breasts? And my friend had hers done via the armpit, and she showed me her scar, and I was like "??? I don't see a scar". Which was exactly her point of why Transaxillary insertion is great as it leaves little to no scarring. Not only that but it reduces the chance of me getting capsular contracture.
*Silicone*
Dr. Arslanian prefers using silicone as the cost difference between saline and silicone isn't huge and silicone nowadays are very safe and I'm above the minimum age for getting silicone. It will allow me to achieve the look and feel of natural boobs, or at least very close to it.
*Under the Muscle*
Dr. A prefers doing this and I agreed to his reasoning. By placing them under the muscle, you can still breast feed later if you choose, and because I am petite with less skin around my boobs, the layer of muscle over the implants will lessen the chance of rippling and also hide the implants under that muscle layer so they look more natural.
I did a Skype consultation because I live in Alabama, and he's over in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Arslanian was on screen talking to me directly himself, with a nurse/female to his side, since you know, I think it's a rule to have a female in the room present with a male doctor. Dr. Arslanian was very nice, incredibly thorough yet concise, patient, and professional. The Skype consultation mostly addressed what I'm going for and what Dr. A offers and introducing himself. I will need to go in for an in-person consultation the next time I am in Atlanta so that he can measure my breast width and what not.
So far the estimate is $5250 all said and done, but I read the fine print that this price may fluctuate depending on what happens during surgery. If I happen to take longer to operate on during surgery, I'm sure the price will increase.
I am very excited and am aiming to have my in-person consultation during November 2017 and hopefully have surgery in December 2017. This will depend on how much money I make during Sept & Oct at work since I prefer to pay cash/up front. Using a credit card will render a 3% service fee on top of that $5250 and I don't want to get into loans unless it's for like a remaining $500 or something.
I uploaded my wish pics on here. The look I want is just like that cosplayer in the photos.
Thank y'all at RealSelf for all the reviews! They have been tremendously helpful and I'll be posting my journey on here, hoping I'll help even one person out!
If anyone has questions for me, please ask!

UPDATED FROM gracie621
Rice Sizers and Updated Price Estimate
gracie621August 10, 2017
Hello!
So I made some rice sizers that simulated approximately 285cc (1.25 cups of rice) which is totally convenient since I'm Asian and constantly have rice available in the house LOL.
I tried going to Target to look for a 32D bra but they didn't carry that size in any of the brands or styles they offer at my location. They stopped at 32C, which they only had 2 available among 5-6 different racks full of bras, but they had 34D readily available.
So before work, I decided to swing by Nordstrom Rack, since last week I was there, they had plenty of 32D's. I tried on a Calvin Klein wired non-padded 32D bra with the sizers I carried in my purse.
Originally I felt self conscious having visibly small boobs and walking into the fitting room for the attendant to see I have 32D's in my hands. I was irrationally worried that she might be confused why I'm trying on a size far too large for me, but luckily the attendant just told me to go in lol.
I really like how these sizers look on me. It's not too big where I look fake, and it's not too small where I don't see a difference. And I tried them on under that black shirt shown in the attached picture, and tried them on under a loose blouse.
My boobs with sizers didn't look suspicious under the loose shirt at all, which is good, so that when I'm around my mom and family, they shouldn't be able to notice. It just looks like I'm wearing a padded bra. But as you can see, if I wear something tight like the black shirt, the size shows.
I have a problem with my mom and her extended family knowing because they love to lecture about anything and love to lecture about "natural" stuff. I don't think I'll be telling them at all, not even when I'm about to go under the knife. If anyone has similar family issues, please let me know how you dealt with them regarding your BA.
So about the price, I was originally quoted $5250, but it was later corrected to $5690 since they switched to a new billing system which supposedly made the original estimate wonky.
I did notice that in the original estimate, Mentor implants were there, but my updated one included a more expensive pair of Allergan implants. I haven't had my in person consultation yet to decide with Dr. Arslanian which implants we'll go for, so I was confused why it was decided in the estimate that I'll be getting the more expensive Allergans.
Overall I'm very excited to be getting this surgery! Hopefully I will have enough to pay in full up front so I can get my BA done this mid December. Otherwise I'll end up having a huge delay in surgery date cause my work is super busy March-July.
See y'all later!

BareNecessities.com for bras. They carry all the larger cup sizes. I didn't know you could do silicone through the armpit. Do you olan on getting UHP implants?
August 11, 2017
Thank you for the recommendation!
Yes, you can do silicone through the armpit, but I also requested to have it done using the Keller Funnel, which will make it slip into the breast pocket under the muscle easier and a smaller incision.
I have my in-person consultation on Nov. 21, so I will figure out which profile I'll be getting by then. I only had a Skype consultation so far. So in person, my doctor will measure my breast width and take into account the look I want and can figure out the profile from there :)

Potential Delay for BA (Hurricane Harvey)
gracie621August 29, 2017
Hey y'all,
Although I will still go to my consultation in November, I might have to postpone my mentally-planned BA in December :(
So I currently live in Alabama, but my hometown is Houston, TX where Hurricane Harvey hit really hard. I was supposed to go home for September and October to work and hopefully get enough money to pay for the surgery (full cost up front), rent, and other bills, but it looks like with the flood devastation, clients likely have cancelled (understandably so) and it's physically impossible to drive to client locations anyway.
I'm doing my part to donate my business services (which I won't mention for privacy) to fund raise and donate all proceeds to Houston and put my breast augmentation money at the back burner for now.
Although I feel bummed about potentially not getting my BA done this December, I can always get it done later. My hometown needs help now. This is the worst Houston has ever experienced---worse than Tropical Storm Allison in 2001. I feel very sad. I have my grandma, aunt and uncle stuck in their house upstairs because their downstairs is flooded. The street where my parents house is got flooded but luckily not badly. The water has receded some today at least.
For those of y'all who got a BA and are in Houston recovering after your surgery during this hurricane, I hope y'all have a speedy recovery and that y'all are safe.

I’m sorry hear your family was affected by the hurricane! I hope everything is somewhat back to normal. Are you still planning to go through with BA. I am Asian too and I know what you mean about the whole family against anything that’s “unnatural”! I originally intended to have mine done under the crease, but now that I’m seeing most Asians have it done tranaxillary, I’m rethinking my options. Well, I hope to see your update and that we continue our journey to bigger breasts together lol. I plan to do it 4/18.
