I swear this website & the BA profiles on Instagram have been a lifesaver. I guess like every woman that ends up getting a BA our stories are all the same, its something we've thought about for years. I hate when someone says you don't have to this or you have a great body why mess with it but bottom line it's not their lives and they obviously have no clue how hard is it it fill out a shirt as a grown woman and feel like you're 12. Or to have to wear a bra with almost everything and make it so that it doesn't look like you, even with a sports bra. I have a consult with Dr colgrove next month and after finding reviews and talking to several patients of his I'm feeling deal good about Dr colgrove. I have my lists of questions but the only thing I hit a brick wall about is saline or silicone.

You'll love Dr. Colgrove! And his nurses are incredible. I, too had to deal with naysayers wondering why I couldn't just be happy with myself. But I'm not even 2 weeks post op and have more confidence. As far as the type, I went with silicone because I wanted a more natural look. And I also didn't want to risk the rippling that comes with saline. Best of luck to you!

Here's the deal, I've got diabetes and because of that, I scar badly. Bad. Bad bad. So it makes my underboob dimple around the scar when I flex (450cc round silicone under the muscle). That is the only reason I kinda wish I went saline. Armpit or something. Idk if you heal like a champ you'll have a tiny scar but I feel mine is bigger than you probably will.

Wow I don't have diabetes but I didn't even know scarring was an issue associated with it. Are you overall still happy with your silicone though?

Colgroves work is great! I changed my lifestyle and started weight training a few years back and now I'm in the fitness industry and my body fat stays a certain %. Let's face it boobs are made mainly out of fat. That's why I got mine and silicone. They are super soft and unless I have a bikini on or have them out people can't tell, even with UHP. It really depends on the look you're going for. I have yet to see any ripples in my breast at all. And my body fat is pretty low. Ask tons of questions, even if you think you know the answer. I had a print out of questions two pages to be exact and he answered them all. I'm super happy with my choice in doctors and implants. Good luck!

I got silicone. The rupture rate for saline was to much for me. The new silicone ones can literally be ran over by a car and not bust open. Saline also ripples and you can see it through the skin. I’ve talked to about 30 girls with saline, and 90% of them say they wish they had went with silicone. But ultimately it’s your body your decision. You’ll look fantastic either way.
