I Did It

I went to consultation at Vinings Surgery Center and spoke with Dr. Robert Colgrove about my wants and expectations. My fiance went with me and was very supportive. I had my picture taken on the digital enhancer and was absolutely mortified. The pictures made my boobs look saggy and very far apart. I initially thought i wanted around 400-450 ccs but after trying the implants on and reviewing the pictures i decided for my body type i could go bigger and not look super fake. I decided on saline under the muscle and around 525-550 ccs. I spoke with the financial adviser and also decided to finance them.

I am considering dr Colgrove and may have to finance mine. What financing company did you use?

No i dont regret it everyone else was great. This was my first surgery and first time being put under and the nurses were very comforting and helpful! The surgery is done in their office which was convenient. The anesthesiologist was very nice as well and called the night before and the day after. He put my iv in and gave me propafal (spelling?) and thats all i remember. I never had to count down or anything like that. They put a tube down your throat during surgery and surprisingly i didn't have a sore throat afterwards. My mom sister aunts and friends all have had ba's and were given percocet for pain and that's it. I was given loratab, morphine, soma (muscle relaxers) zofran and an anti biotic all covered by my insurance. I stopped taking the pain medicine 5 days post op because i have two toddlers and couldn't stay awake but the muscle relaxers helped. Hope this helps I'm pretty satisfied with the surgery center and as far as my results i know it's too soon to tell.

5 days post op

I am still very uncomfortable but not in severe pain. I took bandages off to shower the day after and cried. My boobs look small and square and my nipples point down. I think I'm definitely having the "booby blues". I went to my post-op appointment on Monday and the nurse and Doctor assured me that my boobs would drop and fluff in a few weeks. I really hope so. Have not had a BM in 5 days and I'm really bloated. I haven't taken any pain medicine today but a muscle relaxer this morning I am still icing them every other hour to relieve the swellling. I will post pictures of before the day after and three days post-op.

Did he explain why they took that shape? Did it have anything to do with profile choice or implant choice?

I have my three week appointment next week and will ask more then. but at my post op appt he said my muscle was very tight and i had little to no breast tissue that the muscle is taking time to "let go" and give the implant room to drop and take more of the round shape. Today is 11 days post op and they look a lot better. I cant wait until 3 months.

I just asked my friend and she said it's completely normal for them to look like that and hers were identical to yours. 2 months later her boobs look flawless and very natural
