One more side by side of before & now!

Update

Just wanted to share a couple more progress pictures! Overall I'm pleased with how far they've come. I'm just eager to see my final results!

Update

This post is long overdue... I can't believe it's been almost 6 weeks since my surgery!!

Here's the latest:

I went out of the country two weeks post-op for a week and was really impressed by my ability to do so! I was so worried that I was going to be incapable of even getting through the airport much less walking around, sight seeing, & enjoying my time with friends but I was pleasantly surprised & thankful my experience was such a breeze!

So, I'm really liking my results so far & I'm trying my best to be diligent with massage as I'm hoping that will only help speed up the process together. It's easy to forget that this is a recovery process which requires time and patience.

In addition, I just wanted to add some info for girls who may be considering a breast augmentation but are worried about the recovery time & process.

I attribute my speedy recovery process to a few things: my awesome surgeon & his whole team, my mother who is a saint and waited on me hand & foot for the first couple of days, & ICE. I cannot stress enough how important ice was for me. After my 1 week post op my nurse told me I'd reach for it less and less but I iced all the time to decrease swelling and just because it felt nice honestly lol. In addition, it dulled/numbed my pain which meant I was less likely to reach for pain meds which in turn mean that I was awake, alert, and moving. I'm not talking anything crazy by any means but literally just getting up and around the house.

As far as fitness goes, I'm definitely feeling the aftermath of a month out of the gym (my choice). I suppose had I been better about getting back in the gym I could have started back on mild lower body exercises before my month mark.. However, I was on winter break away from school and relished in the opportunity to take a break mentally and physically. Since being cleared by my surgeon at 4 weeks, I feel comfortable doing nearly every exercise I was doing pre-surgery other than push-ups (not cleared) & pull-ups (also not cleared). By week 5 I felt comfortable doing burpees and mountain climbers. As far as free weights go, my biceps & triceps are happy to be back to work. I feel comfortable using 3-30 lb weights depending on the exercise and muscles involved.

Sorry for the long winded update/information but I just wanted to be as helpful and specific as possible because I remember being so overwhelmed with questions and feeling like no one had the answers to my specific questions!
