I have been dreaming of the possibility of a mommy makeover since I first heard there was such a thing, about 8-10 years ago. Now my dream is on the way to becoming reality! I added as many key terms as possible in my title - not sure if it helps the search function, but hopefully so. They are keywords I have used during my info search that apply to me so I could find people with similar bodies and see their results. I will work on posting "before" pics soon. Sorry for such a long post, but I wanted to include as much detail as possible.
Currently:
Waiting on my pre-op appointment on March 23rd 2017, and surgery date of April 6th! I originally was going to have my pre-op and surgery this month, but had to reschedule due to needing more time to come up with the funds. I have about 4 months left to go, and I know time will fly by fast. I'm having a full tummy tuck, liposuction to the abdomen and flanks, and a breast augmentation with no lift needed. The implant we decided on at the time of consultation is a Natrelle moderate plus, 616 cc, same size in both sides. I don't have the paperwork in front of me so I rounded off the expected cost of everything.
My consultation:
I had my consult in December 2015, with the expectation that I'd have my surgery by the end of 2016 (rescheduled for March/April 2017). I had been searching for info and browsing pictures online for years. It was one of those things I figured would never happen. Then last year, the subject came up while talking to my husband. He said if it I really wanted it, lets look into it. So I looked online for plastic surgeons near my area that offered free consultations. I wasn't sure if I'd need to shop around, but I wanted to see a surgeon and have them assess me and give me an idea of the cost. I found Dr. Edwin Pittman online, and browsed through the before/after pics on his website. I liked what I saw, and made the appointment. His office is only an hour and a half away from my home, so I was fine with making the drive. We live in a small town with no local options anyway. My husband went with me to the consult. I walked into the building and felt very at ease. The atmosphere was comfortable, and his staff members were very warm and friendly. I felt very comfortable with Dr Pittman also. After meeting with Michelle and getting a quote worked up, I knew in my heart that I didn't need to see anyone else - my decision was made! I scheduled the original appointment and made my down payment. As the appointment drew near, I realized I needed to reschedule. I called to reschedule for the new date, and spoke with Michelle again, who was just as friendly and helpful as when we met with her before.
My body type:
Above average height at 5'7". I am somewhere in between a medium and large body frame, probably more large than medium. I'm all legs and short waist. I tend to gain most of my weight in the middle. I weight about 215 lbs right now, and I wear size 16-18 jeans depending on the brand and style. XL-XXL shirts. My bra size is a 38C. I have 2 kids, ages 14 and 12, and both were c-section babies. Besides being overweight in general, I have a "mommy pouch" that folds over my pubic area a couple of inches.
Some background:
Lifetime member of the weight roller coaster club! I have hated and been uncomfortable with my body all of my teen and adult life. I was always looking for the quick way to weight loss - I just knew that the skinnier I got, the happier life would be. But diet pills only work for so long, and the weight would just come right back. No matter how much weight I lost, I still hated my body. Instead of working with what I had, I was too busy wishing for the impossible - to be shorter, skinnier, have a cuter butt and bigger breasts, etc etc etc.
A couple of years ago, I'd gained all the weight back from the last time I was using Phentermine through one of those "Doctor's Diet" programs. I decided to join a gym with a coworker and learn to strength train. I easily began building muscle, and it felt good to feel toned and strong, even though I didn't lose any weight and was still "fat". I fell off the wagon for the past 6 months and I have started going back to the gym. I'm hoping building my strength will help me recover a little more easily from the surgery.

I found a couple of pictures online. The first one is a picture of the boob size/look I'd like to have, and the second is a mommy makeover before/after that I would be happy to have the after result. Her before is similar to my current state.

I am going to be following your progress. I had my first consultation with Dr Pittman and loved his entire office staff! He was very warm as well. Curious to see your results and how you felt with him and the office after your procedure. I'm looking at maybe mid Sept early Oct this year for my make over.

Thank you for commenting! I had to change my date to November, so you might get yours done before I do :).

I'm sorry you are having to push it back. I just read your update on that though. I don't blame you one bit for not wanting to deal with the summer here!! I am meeting with a 3rd dr Friday and hope to have my decision made after that. The dr I'm seeing this week did my good friends mommy Makeover. She's just not as convenient as Dr Pittman. If I can't have it done by the end of February, it'll be September at the earliest.

Date change - rescheduled for Fall
mermaid_soulFebruary 7, 2017
So I rescheduled my surgery one more time. I'm anxious to get it done, but I really don't want to spend April and the rest of the summer dealing with recovery, especially here in the Southeast! Things will also be really busy at work (our high season sends to be early Spring-early Fall).
So! My new pre-op date is November 2, and my surgery date is November 16. I'm so ready! Just one more summer with all this belly jelly.
Also, I still haven't put up any before pics! I need to get on that :)
