3 weeks post revision Asian nose job

I am posting bc other reviews helped me choose Dr. Lee and know what to expect. So I am paying it forward. I will document my journey as I heal.
I had 3 rhinoplasties before Dr.Lee. Those 3 were done by the same surgeon in Seattle. I regret those decisions. I was young and poor and my budget was not great. I lived with those noses for a decade.
YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET. He charged me 17k. I will give a final review when I am 6 months out but so far, every penny seems to be worth it. Go to a nose specialist for your ethnicity. That is what Dr. Lee is. He specializes in Asian Rhinoplasties.
I lost hope for many years and walked around w a droopy nose/columella for years bc I was afraid of plastic surgery. Two botched patients of Dr.Yoo ...recommended that I research Dr. Lee. Both are the top asian revision specialists in LA. I did a consultation with each.
Dr. Lee has great bedside manners. I feel he truly cares for his patients even though he has many patients..He needs to spend his time wisely/ effectively. He listens and doesn't argue with you esp if you know exactly what you want because you are a revision case like me.
(Dr yoo.. On the other hand was the opposite of Dr. Lee. So let's just focus and be positive on Dr. Lee!!) I chose to move forward with Dr. Lee afterall
Dr. Lee's work tends to be more natural. So for example, I wanted a very very upturned nose and NO columella show from the side profile. Dr. Lee advised me that this could look piggy and advised against it briefly... In consult, this scared me and I agreed to a little less upturned tip, but **no collumeal show was required though. I was adamant about no collumeal show. I showed him a picture of Han GAIN korean actress. She is beautiful and has no collumeal show. Dr. Lee then saw how adamant I was on no columella show. He then verbally told me that Asians are the one ethnicity that don't need collumeal show and still look natural. White patients most times need collumeal show to achieve a natural look but not Asians. He likes to do his work naturally and will try to advise you to stay within natural range… but when you know you want something, push for it. No regrets. When I pushed for no collumeal show, he listened, respected my wish, and agreed. I was super grateful for that. The patient has to know what he/she wants.
It is the job of the patient to KNOW what you want so you have no regrets. Study celebrities of the same ethnicity as you and the beauty of their noses.
I did hours upon hours talking to patients to understand how much the tip dropped post 3 months of the surgery. It drops quite a lot so make sure to tell your surgeon to take into account the tip drop if you want a very upturned nose. Dr. Lee can do it. Just push for it.
I personally think that upturned noses make a woman's face more feminene, youthful, cutesy.. The smooth communication of expectations/ goals in the consult session right before surgery is everything.
I believe 100% Dr. Lee has the skills, experience, and can perform and achieve your dream nose. It is the communication in consultation that is super important!
This is my 4th nose revision with Dr. Lee so I think I might know a little something !!! Dr. Lee is the surgeon to go to for asian revision cases.
He is the best plastic surgeon I could have asked for. Good bedside manners, very available during day texting post surgery. His assistant is also very kind and welcoming. My healing journey has been seamless.
(Side note: I did have a scratchy throat for 3 weeks due to his anesthesiologist team shoving the tube down the wrong way….:( I never had that happen before w any other surgeries. Ask*** the anesthesiologist team to be gentle with you and hopefully you don't have that issue that I did. It is gone now but it was super rough esp since a rib is taken out. Coughing for the first 2 weeks was super painful. I am not mad about this bc it is gone and Dr. Lee and his nurses were very on top of monitoring my situation weeks after. It is 100% gone now. I just wanted to be completely honest about everything. It happens… just it happened to me this time, lol but it is all gone-!)
I used to have a witch droopy tip/columella and walked around like that for years bc I was afraid of being botched and falling into depression....... Dr. Lee brought a femine upturned nose that completes a youthful look to my soft round asian face.
I am very swollen at 3 weeks post.
I am thick skin, a revision case, so my nose will be more swollen than the average primary nose jobs. At month 3 I will look more de swell… The frontal is bulbous bc of the swelling. The side looks perfect.
Overall at week 3 post surgery, I look / feel young! So grateful! I really hope this helps other ladies. Dr. Lee is really the surgeon to go to for asian noses. He has the skills, experience, and good bedside manners. Just know what you want, be ready to tackle the pre surgery consultation to align expectations. I feel Dr. Lee really cares about making you happy and more beautiful. Communication is everything.
I will be updating again at the 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, and 1 year mark.

I had my first shot 1 month post. I will get my 2nd steroid shot in 1 month!
The first shot helped a lot! It’s a must if you are a revision! I am hoping the swelling continue to disappear 30% more by month 3. That’s the normal for revision rihno. I’m hopeful :)

Happy girls are the prettiest. I’m happy! Got the 2nd steroid and final shot since Dr.lee says I’m healing good! This is my dream nose and I’m thankful. The swelling will continue to go down in next 10 months and get more refined. Happy w it now but I’ll def take a more refined nose in the future !
