Rhinoplasty with VIP Plastic Surgery Korea

I will be having my rhinoplasty done by Dr. Lee Myung Ju in a weeks time. I have chosen combination rhinoplasty.
Combination Rhinoplasty uses silicone implant for the nose bridge and uses mainly septal cartilage and ear cartilage for the nose tip if needed. My main concerns like most Asians is my bulbous tip, wide and low bridge and also my wide alars. I want to improve these features but not soo dramatic as I still want to look like myself. My engagement is coming up and my wedding is planned for next year and I really hope to have my ideal nose by then. Hopefully everything will go to plan!!
I have consulted at least 5 other places after extensive research and only VIP has exceeded my expectations in terms of communication and service. I contacted them through watsapp and Chloe has been amazing in replying to me. She’s very responsive and have made me feel confident with my journey thus far. Not to mention their before and after photos look soo natural and amazing! The cost also includes accomodation which is located 5 mins walk from their centre, they were also kind enough to let my friend stay with me. I need her to help my nervous ass get through this haha! They have already booked a driver for us for when we get there which is soo thoughtful. Really do appreciate it!
Here is a photo of my nose from the front and side. I hope by doing this it will help those who are planning on getting a rhinoplasty. I’ve seen soo many botched work and seriously feel so bad for them!! No one deserves to come out feeling worse about their insecurities. Hopefully my review will help you guys!
Note: I’m currently taking Arnica tablets prior to surgery and will continue taking it post surgery. It’s meant to help with bruising and quickens the recovery stage.
Anyways will keep you guys updated as much as I can :)

UPDATED FROM Miss318
Day of treatment
Day 1 - Post Op
Miss318July 30, 2018
Hi guys so I just had my rhino done. The consultation went well with Dr Lee. He was very realistic with what results I can achieve and the limitations. Like I said previously I wanted to have less bulbous tip but not too projected.. however this is not realistic. Less bulbous = more projection hence higher bridge. I accepted this and told dr lee to project if needed. I think I was just worried because I’ve seen some extremely projected results from other clinics.
He also discovered that I had a deviated septum which he will fix.. like wtf?? My whole life I thought my breathing was fine haha. Hopefully once I recover I will notice the drastic difference. He also mentioned that my face and nose is asymmetric. So the results may not be straight.. but he will try his best to balance everything out.
The worst part about it all is waking up not knowing where you are and being carried to the recovery bed. Pretty sure I was stumbling all over the place lol. It was all such a blur! I’m currently in the recovering room now with painkillers attached to me. The staffs have been amazing and there’s also a nurse here who has stayed with me since surgery. She would come in every few hours to give me more painkiller and also check my blood pressure. Mouth wash is also provided to gargle 3-4 times a day, the dryness of my mouth feels soo disgusting! I still feel dizzy so don’t want to eat just yet.
Out of a scale of 1-10, I would rate the pain a 7. Anyways will update you guys when I can! If you want to check out their facilities it is available on their website. It looks the same in person :)

Oh forgot to mention this but a bit of my ear cartilage was also taken out. There’s very little pain there :)

Thank you so much for your review ! Im also planning to do one soon as well. May i please ask why did you choose to do combination rhinoplasty (using silicone) as opposed to using rib cartilage ?
Thank you and i hope u get the desired result :)
July 30, 2018
Hi there, I chose combo purely because my mum also had silicone implant and her nose looks nice. As long as the tip isn’t silicone then I am happy! Since that is the area that should have more movement than the bridge. I also can’t justify paying an extra 4k especially when I’m after a natural result. I think if you’re going for a dramatic result then definitely go with rib. I do understand there may be more risks in a silicone implant but it is a very small % that has been affected. Hope this helps xx

Day 2 - Post Op
Miss318July 31, 2018
Now I know why everyone would disappear until day 7-10 for an update because the recovery stage is sooo annoying ???? It’s second day Post op and I am extremely swollen, of course every case differs. Chloe said because I got a lateral osteotomy + alarplasty + tip + thick skin it will swell up quite a bit. My bestie said I look like a sloth ???? I couldn’t even laugh because everything was so stiff lol. All I want to do is lie in bed and not move. But there’s things you need to remember doing:
- Put a towel and ice your face when you can (vip provides ice packs) it helps!
- eat at least 3 times a day and take medication 30 mins after every meal
- drink heaps of water/ Gatorade
- I’m currently taking arnica tablets every 4 hours
- eat soft food (fruits, veggies, chicken soup etc) and avoid anything with salt, msg/ sodium as that can cause more swelling.
VIP provided me with food on day of surgery and day after but I am now back at the apartment. They also leave the painkiller tube attached to you.
I will need to walk (5 mins) to VIP to do a check up at 9:30 every morning. A bit of exercise will also help speed up the recovery. Check up will consist of replacing the cast and clean up your nose if needed. They have also pressed down on my nose to squeeze out all the fluid. It feels soo weird! But needs to be done for the swelling to go down.
Anyways that’s all for now ????

I feel your pain, I'm currently just ending my 2nd day post op and I know the healing sucks!
I'll post up my review soon but right now going to take some pain medication and go to sleep for the night (sitting up!).
When do you get to take your cast off? I have to wait until Tuesday to finally see my nose, so nervous!
Hope you have a quick recovery!
