Primary asian rhinoplasty in September of 2021

I came from Canada and went to Dr. Balikci for my primary asian rhinoplasty back in September of 2021. Before that I was getting filler in my nose for approx. 2-3 years. I was very nervous travelling all the way to Turkey for my procedure and was worried about language barrier but this was never an issue. I was met by him and his team, who greeted me with hospitality and smiles. Nurse Beza and the Driver Yucel were both so kind and made me feel welcomed. Dr Balikci was very informative and honest about what he could achieve for my nose. I asked for a higher bridge with a more defined tip and he told me he could raise my bridge slightly but not too much or it would look strange on my asian face. He gave me a good understanding of what to expect and considered what i wanted to achieve with my primary rhinoplasty. He dissolved the filler in my nose prior to my operation. When i woke up from surgery I had an allergic reaction to something they gave me but the nurses and staff handled it really well and I didn’t even know i was having an allergic reaction at all! Recovery was fairly easy also, for the first few days all over my body was a bit achy and i had a sore throat but by the end of the week I felt very good! Pain was also very minimal, i would say my sore throat hurt more than my nose. When the cast was removed I was immediately so happy with my results even though my
nose was still swollen and would change during healing. I had so much more confidence and I felt really good about myself. Dr Balikci even met with a couple of his patients and took us for dinner which exceeds his hospitality as our surgeon. He is truly amazing and you can see the passion he has for his work. I am more than satisfied with this whole experience.


Fast forward to this year 2023, I was supposed to go back to Dr Balikci for a revision surgery for some very minor changes in November (ie more tip definition) and my concerns were very small. Instead I got impatient and went to another surgeon in Turkey for a minor revision and he did not listen to what I had asked for. He gave me a nose bridge that’s way too high for my face and I have an ugly bump in the middle of my head because the graft he used is too large. I went in for another minor rhinoplasty a day after my cast removal to try to fix at least the bump on my head. Nothing has been fixed and i’m ledt with a nose too large for my face and a fat nose tip that droops down. None of my concerns were addressed and I feel like he COMPLETELY ignored what I had asked for. I am extremely sad, distraught and i wish i had just waited to go back to Dr Balikci because I don’t think I would be going through what I am right now if I went back to him. I not only had a second, but a third revision operation which really sucks. I feel like if I went to Dr Balikci he would have given me exactly what I wanted and this process would be so much easier.

I plan on going back to Dr Balikci in around 6 months since I have to wait for my nose to heal again before I do any more surgery. I hope anyone with doubts or concerns will read my review though and know Dr Balikci is seriously AMAZINGLY TALENTED!!! If you go with him it is 100000% worth the price and distance travelled. That’s my personal opinion and i’m looking very forward to fixing my nose by him again in the near future. Thank you so much Dr Balikci for being the best rhinoplasty surgeon ever :)
