I recently underwent Asian rhinoplasty and buccal fat removal performed by Dr. Kwon, and I'm happy with the results one year post-surgery. While the idea of surgery under anesthesia was initially pretty scary, Dr. Kwon's anesthesiologist, Dr. Lee/Li (I'm not sure if I'm remembering her name properly), played a pivotal role in alleviating my concerns. I met her on the day of the surgery and she immediately calmed my nerves with her reassuring and confident energy. She talked me through the process, answered my questions, and let me know she'd stay with me and monitor me throughout the entire surgery. I felt so much better after that.
The post-surgery healing process proved to be relatively painless for me. Although every person's experiences with swelling is different, I personally experienced minimal discomfort with only temporary splints in my nose for a week and a cast for an additional two weeks. The discomfort was very tolerable, with the only painful moment being the removal of stitches, which was a quick process anyways.
Living nearby allowed me the privilege of several follow-up visits with Dr. Kwon, enhancing my overall post-surgery experience. Dr. Kwon's personable and patient approach during these check-ups reassured me that my nose and face were healing well. His dedication to ensuring my satisfaction and well-being as a local patient contributed significantly to my positive experience.
