Tips (Rhinoplasty + Chin Augmentation)

Hello, RealSelf Users!
I’m two weeks post op. I’m healing very well.
Understanding that everyone heals differently, I wanted to share here the effective recovery tips I’ve adopted on my journey:
1. Get dental cleaning before and after the surgery. After my surgery, I found it challenging to brush/floss my teeth because my mouth was numb and I couldn’t open it wide. I’d suggest to have dental cleaning BEFORE surgery and do another one after a couple of weeks/months when comfortable to do so.
2. Develop a tried-and-tested deep cleansing facial routine weeks before surgery. With all the tape, splint, and mask, it’s inevitable to have blackheads/whiteheads around the nose area. Prior surgery, it’s best to have a clean skin since we can’t really do any deep cleaning until our noses are fully healed which could take months. I also do not recommend testing out new face products just days before the surgery. I was very careful not to have a zit on my nose on surgery date!
3. Chapstick is life. I breathe through my mouth for a few days. And chapstick had saved my lips from cracking.
4. Follow the recommended post-surgery diet PRIOR surgery. Vitamins & nutrients need time to be absorbed by the body. So, I ate the recommended foods (veggies, fruit, no refined sugar, low sodium) a week before my surgery date.
5. Consider Red LED light therapy. Red LED light sped up the healing of wounds and bruises. I personally used my Celluma (the bendable one). I used the wrinkle mode (red) every day for 30 mins.
6. Don’t watch sad movies that make you cry and your nose stuffy. Nuff said.

Enhance your facial features with Dr. Charles Lee

I chose Dr. Lee because of the reviews/blogs I've seen about his work & experience. He is very thorough in answering my questions.Dr. Lee has done my rhinoplasty and chin augmentation. The whole process, from consultation to post-op, was seamless. I couldn't be any happier with my nose. I feel like it's a better version of my old nose. It's still the same nose, but just "enhanced." Thank you so much, Dr. Lee! Will recommend you to everyone I know!!
