1 year post op
The photos of my 1 year post op will speak for itself. I’ve waited this long to give it a benefit of the doubt that this is just a swelling and will eventually subside, but it looks really off the center. I’m disappointed because I’ve spent so much money and the emotional turmoil I have gone through this recovery process is not a joke yet the result is very subpar. In all fairness on my after care post op, the doctor and his staff took really care of me, I will give them that and appreciate it. It’s just that the final result doesn’t suits my overall facial structure.

6th Month post op
This month marks my 6th month post op. Don’t be fooled as my tip still swollen. There are still swelling fluctuations I’m wondering why. There are good days and bad days. I wish the swelling fluctuations stop and swelling continuously subsides but oh well patience is the key. There are times that nose swells and it looks so obvious but then I only noticed this whenever I wake up in the morning and then eventually slim down at the end of the day. I felt like I’m still not photo ready yet coz the tip of my nose still swollen and it shows on raw pictures. My smile has changed tho. I can’t figure what it is but Imma wait til I reach 1 year. To all who are planning to get a rhinoplasty done, post op recovery is not a joke. You’ll definitely need a lot of patience and confidence that this is what you really want. I received a lot of compliments and also negative feedback from people around me but who cares do what makes you happy. That’s why I highly suggest do your research before diving in to something you’re not mentally, physically and emotionally ready.

6 months still swollen?? Isn’t it a bit too long? Maybe you should contact your surgeon? I got my primary augmentation only 4 months ago and have no swelling or numbness at all (swelling stayed up to week 9 and tip was numb for 7 weeks ish, but my doctor said it’s fine and that everything would be gone by month 6). FIY I also proceeded it in Seoul at regen ps with Dr. Seok Jun Lee
What kind of implant do you have? Or do you have rib cartilage graft as well? Mine is rib cartilage graft and they said it swells longer than artificial implants.
Is it uncomfortable to smile after the mid-face augmentation?
After the procedure, you’ll feel stiffness. But I could smile now like normal.
You just need to wait couple of months to wait, before you can see the improvement. It varies from each patient, as one person is different from another. So the healing time and how your body reacts to it is what makes it differ from another person who also had the same procedure
The profile looks beautiful. Front is fine except just slightly off to your right at the top end of the bridge, very slightly, which could be from swelling. Your nose does look as if it is still swollen. Your old nose is very cute, by the way.
It is kinda uneven. I asked VIP about it and they said I still have a lot of swelling going on, I need to wait a one full year so that my surgeon could effectively evaluate the result.
Hang in there. It's only 6 months and it can improve. Regardless you are still beautiful and your nose is very nice. I just got a revision about 3 weeks ago. Rib rhino also. So I know the feeling about good days and bad days. Keep us posted bb.
