Traveling to Asheville Alone

Just want to mention that, I traveled alone to Asheville and had some confusion as to which care service was the best fit for me. Once I got there and realized the distance of things, I called Susie from TLC -- she immediately booked a place for me at the Fairmont (I do not recommend last minute plans at all, but this is what happened to me) for a very good rate. She and Violet met with me the next day to go over meds, timing, what my needs would be, etc. They took me to and from surgery and another woman (apologies but I was knocked out and don't remember her name) stayed with me to give me meds during the night and made sure I slept sitting without slipping down. Violet was there first thing in the am to take me for bandage removal. Susie called me almost daily during that following week just to make sure I was okay and ask if I need anything. The room was surprisingly large ( I get claustrophobic in small spaces), with a king sized bed, and a sizable seating area with a sofa and table. The bed faces a very large flat screen TV. which I used a lot because I had a peel with my lift and didn't want to go out much. The room also has a fridge -- I brought a mixer and made fruit / protein shakes daily. Also, there is an Ingles market and gas station right next door and an Outlet Mall just across the street. I do not like outlet malls but it was an easy place to get to and walk around as a break from my room. I actually found a beautiful scarf at a shockingly huge discount there. Anyway, Susie and the ladies of TLC were there for me -- I highly recommend their service. Also want to mention the Arts District is very cool to visit while there and Tupolo Honey seems to be THE place for brunch! I was peeling like mad -- but I went to both!

Above ear incision

Hey, Lynn, he did seem to go up pretty far, I think? Are you saying it's more typical for the incision to go up higher? This is a messy shot because I got a peel too, but see where the incision ends?.

2 Week Post Op

Still some facial swelling, bumps, and pulls but really happy with this result. If my eyes calm down It will be so great! But, very very happy with that profile!

My experience having surgery with Dr. Harley has been so very much worth it. I was treated with respect and consideration from the very first phone consultation through to post surgery (where I am now). My profile went from being something I kept hidden behind hair, turtlenecks, and scarves to one that looks very much like younger days. A neck I'll be showing off - because I now love it! I'm still swollen as I write this at just over 2 weeks so there are still areas of healing but I see the magic (and make no mistake - it is magical) in seeing a face I thought was long gone come back again. One thing I think is also important to know — Dr. Harley is very responsive to post-op concerns. He doesn't just perform the surgery and go on to the next person, leaving you to wonder or worry if everything is healing properly on your own. For me, that is extremely important. Also, during the face to face consultation, Dr. Harley took time, listened, and responded thoughtfully. I was not rushed. He seemed to genuinely want to hear what my issues were, how I saw myself, and where I wanted to be. He listens and he knows how to get you where you want to be. I also believe he has the need of the artist in him - that he sees the younger person inside the skin before him and takes a personal delight in knowing he can transform them back to younger days and that is what he did for me. Also, every member of his team, and the cottage where surgery is performed, are all just incredibly lovely. The entire experience, for me, has been positive. I feel lucky that a few months ago, when I told my hairdresser I was going to do something about my neck she lighted up and told me about another client who looks fantastic and who went to Dr. Harley. I ended up seeing that woman in person -- THOSE results (one year post surgery) were what I wanted too. I am now just a little over 2 weeks post and am so happy I chose Dr. Harley. If you'd like to pm me I can answer specific questions but will tell you that, if you were one of my pals, I would tell you to please do this for yourself.
