I am 35 and for those who's wondering why at this age I already decided to get a mini lift. I lost 98 lbs and for the past 5 yrs I am pretty good maintaining it. And although I truly enjoy wearing size 0 dresses from size 16 the sad part is I have problem areas where extra skin loose and hangs. My neck doesnt really look like my age and lets not talk about the jawlines. 2 yrs ago I had a fat transfer on my nasalobial fold as i was starting to look like my neighbor's bulldog. The fat transfer quite work for a bit but unfortunately only probably 30% or less of that precious fat retained (the irony). I have fillers for the very 1st time 5 mos ago but my neck and jawline just get worse. I had consultation for PDO thread lift but the longevity of that is between 6 mos to 21 mos depending on genetics (I dont trust mine). I have no plan gambling $2.5k lets say every 6 mos. Some say it's too soon for me and having a lift at mid 30 is just a total waste of time and money and I should have wait till I'm 45 where everything starts to sag down to fully enjoy the benefits of it. I dont think I could wait for that. I just want to get this done and ease up my insecurities. I really dont think age matters here. I cant compare myself to anyone but there are some lucky ladies out there that looks good at their 40s and some unlucky 1 that looks like sh*t on their 30s..like me. My expectations are realistic I want to look like Kim Kardashian after this (lol just kidding). I am scheduled to see Dr. Harley on March 14 for my pre surgery consultation and my surgery date is March 15 at 6 am. My phone consultation is Jan 3 but after finding out how far hes booked I asked Lauri to booked me for the very next available surgery date (that time all the dates in March are pretty much open).I know I want to do this 101%.I had seen several Drs in my area. I read what I want to know about this procedure, I had asked Drs. I inquired previous patients. My phone consultation is my mini introduction to Dr. Harley in person. I've been following him for 3 yrs. I have not seen any Dr. that have so much reviews and compliments from his previous patients. I dont think they not legit. Any Dr. can bullsh*t me over the phone or face to face and can promise me the Kardashian look ,its all business at the end of the day. But I dont think women here in RS that gave their reviews on Dr. Harley have that intention besides sharing their own journey. I know it's impulsive for me to book a surgery prior to consultation. But after watching his YouTube interviews and reading all the reviews here. I put my trust in him. And the reason behind that trust to a person I haven't meet yet are those beautiful brave ladies that spent their time writing and posting their pictures good or bad here in rs . so i want to thank you all in advance. You have no idea that by simply writing your own experience it somehow affect other people that would change their life forever.

Today I had my phone consultation with Dr. Harley his southern accent made me smile he sounds so friendly and really approachable. We talked about how to improve my chinny chin chin and chineck and what's the best approach for me. We gossip about some ladies here in RS (thats not happy with their results just kidding!!!). Oh lord hope no one will take me seriously on that! ) Anyway thanks to Canlynn's advised I was able to discuss with Dr. Harley about the longevity of the lift and why to some people the results are great and to others its not the way they expected. I read some not so good reviews about him and I asked him about that. I think its only fair to hear his side. And in fairness Dr. Harley is really professional I can tell that he takes great pride of his work. He said everyone is different and each case is not the same. Like some people love the swollen look and some dont. He said once the some of the skin was taken and the muscles tighten the face would not be the same as it was before which is true. In my opinion maybe they needed more than just a mini lift.I see it like cutting my long hair its still a hair but with a new look but in time it will grow back comparing it to my chineck thats so attracted to gravity hell yea that gobbler will be back! Dr. Harley said I might be young to do this and i can still get away with out a lift for couple more years but he said the younger the patients are the better because the muscles are still strong and the face isnt that down. He said if i change my mind or have any single doubt he wont take it against me and I can always cancel.Such a nice guy! I cant wait to meet him in person.

Thank for sharing about your consult & concerns. It's so important to have an open dialogue. I agree totally. He is a real person, not just a Dr on a pedestal and yes he cares about what people think which makes him a better Dr. as well as the skills that he has and doing this as much as he does, he's seen it all. He mentioned that younger people tend to do better but I've seen older patients of his do really well as well for a long time. Up to 70 something.

Yes I am just glad Dr. Harley doesnt sound like the my pillow guy who's trying to sell me beauty enhancement. He had seen my pics and gave me his opinions, he doesnt need to print it out and post it in his bedroom ceiling to make me feel special. At the end of day it will be my decision and he gave me that option. he said all he can do is help me out. he told me honestly he cant remove all the skin as it will restrict my movement nor give me the perfect result everyone desire when they go in for surgey.

I am sure you have been discouraged by a certain someone’s contradictory ongoing and endless posts. I am a happy patient of Dr. Harley’s and I am six months out. Things have been posted on here that are simply UNTRUE. Speaking to Dr. H and voicing your concerns and asking questions was the best thing you could have done. He genuinely cares about you as his patient and will do what’s in your best interest. If you have any questions feel free to PM me and I can talk with you.

Thank you! Yes i have private msgs that made me feel that way. I am very open to all kinds of reviews good or bad. It helps a lot when making a decision esp for those that would make a bigger impact on one's life. I really appreciate it happy! Someone have said that most of dr. Harley's previous patients are giving fake praises on how beautiful their results are because they want to belong in a group like in high school but here are bunch of 50+ women which i find it offending and immature. Like for Blakely73 my praises to her is nothing but all sincerity I have no reason to bs her. If there's 1 thing dr harley have that other drs dont have are the constant support of his previous patients to newbies like me. people like you happy ,blakely, canlynn and to every one else that offers comfort and guidance instead of confusions you guys are the best and really much appreciated.

Thank you! And yes you are right about it. Some reviews made me question my decision to at some point getting clawed by opening my big mouth lol. Im sure I wasnt the only one. To some where they say flying to Asheville feels like the end of the road for them where they feel like its too late to back out anymore because 1. The deposit for sure is gone 2. Hotels are booked. But for me and this is just my thought. That backing out to the very last minute before taking the pills is not too late because a single moment of doubt will alter one's feelings. Yea 500 bucks out the drain but what is it compared to a life time of regret? And Asheville seems like a beautiful place this could be an opportunity for a mini vacation so hotel issues is not a big concern. On my conversation with Dr. Harley he told me I have that option he said if i have any single feeling of doubt i can just say no to the very last minute and he wont take it against me. Someone # me having a harleyspipersyndrome which literally made me laugh loud. Where they say i too belong to his fans club and in line for this cookie cutter procedure to look young and my opinion is to myself alone because i havent been on surgery yet and i have no clue how it feels. Which for me question the integrity of that person more than my doubt if going to this surgery with dr harley is the right decision for me as i am not concern of aging but hated my jowls due to weight lost. Each of us thats been on this site and googling about this procedure have similar issues,vanity and insecurities but the reason why we doing this is different for each one of us. My apologies if i sound so righteous here that is not my intention. I just want to point out that saying no when having doubt to the last minute is always an option.

Girl you’re gonna have tons of nervous feelings as you get closer. It gets intense weeks bfr but I know what you mean. The same people 2-3 tried to freak me out days bfr my procedure so you can just imagine how nervous I was. Then even sent me a inbox after my surgery saying they finally posted pictures when I asked for their pics 4 months bfr. Why bother sending them after??? I’m very happy as of now and Now is all I can go on but they still freak me out that one day I’ll wake up and it will be all the same. It’s like we obsess over it! My husband has been key for me keeping it real. Of course you want excellent results. Who wouldn’t. His integrity as a surgeon is above no other. I text him and within minutes he text me back. So call me a Harley fan. I am. It’s the truth. I will return to him when I want my eyes done and for me NC was a vacation for us! We had a great time!

Same here exactly - almost to the letter as the way I felt & feel as well as looking at it as a vacation - which it is in a beautiful area and if you can bring your significant other - much, much better (provided they are onboard). Dr. Harley really included my husband - he was invested & he really feels maybe even more than me that Dr. Harley did an incredible stellar job. He did not want me to do this either but he knew I wasn't happy. Since making my decision & having him ok with it, I've been the happiest I've been in 5+ years - sorry, not trying to hijack this -

Lol yep thats late for a pic. When I talked to Dr Harley i asked him about that. why some women claimed that their surgery went back the way it was before he said it wasnt the same way as before because some skin was already taken out and muscle was tighten. Some love the swelling some dont. maybe some just needed more tightening hence he guarantee free revision which is great. Because heaven if mine is not what i expected ill be seeing him again. I understand some people dont want that but what is really mean when they say keeping it real? A mini lift that would last 10 yrs to some and to others 10 months? When we cant really compare each other's outcome because this kind of things dont really have a generalize expiration date that we can demand by saying my lift should last me 10 yrs base on statistic done to others. What if you are not part of that statistic? Was that even weigh in when making this life changing decision? I am happy for your result blakely and yes you look like you had a fantastic time at Asheville. My husband and my son will be there with me were not going there just for my surgery but to also see Asheville.

That's something to look forward to! Just schedule a phone consultation with Dr. Harley so you can ask him about your concerns and you can hear his opinion even though you're not getting it done yet, its free anyway and normally the wait time is around 3 mos so before you know it its almost 2019.
