Glad I Did This - Asheville, NC

WORTH IT$6,400
I had a lower face lift/neck lift ($6,400) and lower blepharoplasty ($2,900) with Dr. David Harley on April 13. The attached photos are before and 17 days after.
I traveled quite a distance for these procedures. I chose Dr. Harley because a) he is clearly skilled and experienced, b) he is well qualified, c) he specializes in faces/necks, d) he uses local anesthesia in an outpatient setting, e) he has worked out a way of providing these services at a reasonable cost, f) he and his staff made it uncomplicated to arrange this from a distance and g) using TLC made it possible to do this traveling by myself. And, yes, he and his staff are all very nice and pleasant to deal with.
I’m not sure I can say anything about the procedures that haven’t already been said. It was relatively painless (the worst was the bandage the first day), I hardly bruised at all, and I’m happy with the results (so far, but I can’t see anything changing, either.)
I am particularly impressed with the results of the lower blepharoplasty. I have had three medically necessary upper blepharoplasties, the latest one just four months ago. (Yeah, I know, but you should have seen them before. I have a long, complicated history of eye surgeries and that tends to mess things up.) The last oculoplastic surgeon I talked with about my lower eyelids was rather discouraging and said I would have large red marks for months if I had them done. Dr. Harley’s patients didn’t seem to, so I thought it was worth the risk. I didn’t even bruise in that area and his incisions are barely visible.
I do want to encourage anyone traveling to Asheville alone for such procedures to consider using TLC. They were great. I’m quite independent and can often feel like others’ efforts to “take care of me” are sort of intrusive, so I was a bit concerned about how this would work out. It was all very comfortable. Everyone I dealt with was both knowledgeable and competent. They certainly were on top of everything during those 24 hours of care, but they also just made everything easier, from the great price on the hotel (which was a really good place to camp out for a week) to checking in on me later in the week just to see how I was doing.
I’m happy I did this and am glad I chose to do it where and how I did.

Love how your eyes turned out. I have eyebags and was going to have them done at a different time than my lower face/neck but after seeing yours, I may go for that too. How long was your surgery total?
