Amazing Team and a Great Experience!
WORTH IT
Having undergone gastric sleeve surgery in 2018 I began my journey knowing that my upper arms were going to be a problem with loose and unsightly skin. My research to find a surgeon began early. Having known absolutely nothing about plastic surgery or what to look for I spent countless hours online searching for a surgeon that could help me with arm reduction surgery.Fast forward 2 years and a loss of 37 kilos it was time to narrow my search down. I’d had a consultation with another plastic surgeon prior to meeting Dr Choy and although he was great, I felt so comfortable after my consultation with Dr Choy. I left his rooms feeling like my dream of being confident could finally be made a reality.
Throughout the process of booking my first appointment and scheduling a surgery date I was able to have any questions answered and felt very supported by his amazing nursing and administrative staff. During this time is when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and unfortunately my surgery date was postponed.Whilst waiting for a new surgery date I was kept informed and up to date of the forever changing circumstances. I received a phone call from Dr Choy himself after hours on a Friday evening offering me a new date for the following week. The day before surgery I met with Dr Choy to have any final questions answered. He marked out my arms showing me the position of the scars and made sure I was comfortable with what was about to be life changing for me.Post op, I experienced very minimal pain and discomfort. I was able to have functional movement of my arms from day one. Upon discharge from the hospital the support I received was exceptional. I was given contact details for Dr Choy’s surgical nurse who was able to answer any questions / concerns I may have had. Dr Choy also kept in touch to check in with my progress.
Just on 4 weeks post op, I could not be happier! I have gained the confidence I was searching for and have been able to wear clothing that my arms wouldn’t fit into prior to arm reduction surgery.The position of the scar is completely hidden and is healing well. I never imagined that I would be feeling this great so soon after surgery. I will be forever thankful to Dr Choy and his team for helping me along this journey.
