Juvederm Filler in Lips, Botox in Forehead. 48 Yrs Old!

I'm one week out from getting the fillers and I really like them. Though I feel they are a bit uneven, but no one else seems to be able to tell until I point it out to them! They have taken a bit of getting used to but I feel younger and can actually wear lipstick now! They are still a bit sore, but getting better every day.

I quit smoking almost 2 years ago and am older and have always had very thin lips and now have/had those fine lines around them! I work out a lot to keep my body in decent shape,(not as good as I want, but then again, are we ever happy?), and with peri-menopause starting, I'm noticing the aging process starting to take it's toll. I plan on fighting it as much as I can! I had Botox previously and a slight filler in my lips, but didn't notice a ton of difference with my lips, so this time I wanted to go a bit bigger.
I have several tattoos but was scared of the pain of getting the lip injections, so Dr. Placik offered to inject me with a numbing agent first. It was great! Didn't feel anything other than at the cupid's bow since the agent doesn't get quite there, but it was nothing I couldn't handle. So quick, not a big deal.
I am loving the results. I was lucky enough to not bruise too much. The bruises are more inside the lip, can't be seen. My husband says it's strange seeing me with bigger lips and that it's strange kissing me, but he'll get used to it. My lines are gone! I can wear lipstick if I want! I can't wait for the rest of the swelling to go down to see the end result, but I love it so far!
