Thanks so much for your story. Mine have been in for 27 years and I've been so afraid that everything will be a disaster when my doctor goes in to explant, so it's really good to hear that your surgery went so well. Gives me hope! Very happy for you!

I was so glad to hear your story. I have had mine about 33 yrs. I'm not having problems but know the need to come out. I still work and I don't know how much time to take off. what would you suggest? zI'llmans feel like I can relate to you as we are the same age. I really felt supportive listening to your story. Thanks

Why no pictures? It makes everything so much more clear, especially from women around my age! I'm kind of not clear how my breasts are going to look after 28 years ... But thank you for your story anyway...I'm 63 and gearing up to explant in the near future... I'm in south western N.C. Anybody have any ideas for a good surgeon over this way?

Get a good bra before surgery to wear after, I waited til after surgery and it took me almost to weeks to find a comfortable and supportive one,you need to be well supported after surgery.

You're right about the bras alrtree. I've alternated between sports bras & ahh bras. Bought a front closure one, but don't like it any better the smooth front cross strap, now that I can raise my arms all the way up. So glad you're making good progress!!

Thank you, and glad you can get arms up again that is a moment in itself !! (the things we take for granted lol)

I had Dow Cornings removed and was able to get my records from the hospital, even though it was 32 years ago. My surgeon had long since passed away . If a hospital was used for your initial surgery that may be an avenue for you too. In any event, I wish you the very best - removal is the way to go for sure. Sounds as though you are doing well - congratulations!

Nope my Dow Cornings were implanted in the office so I was just out of luck. Im happy that Ive been able to have them removed anyway and so very very blessed with the results !!
