Amazing Natural Breast Augmentation to Compliment my Leaner Frame
WORTH IT
The Decision
?I’m very into fitness and have a lean body; low body fat and higher muscle mass. My breasts had shrunk as my body changed over time and became a little deflated. This meant I had some room to work with from where my breasts used to be, but minimal breast tissue remaining. Being 30 and pre-children, I wanted to feel confident in having more breast to compliment my body, but I had concerns of feeling too top heavy (5ft6, 120lbs) and I wanted a look that felt right with the rest of my body.
Through my research across many other surgeons, I’d seen similar body types to mine where the implants looked like ‘bolt-ons’ and I was initially really scared of that appearance. I wanted fullness with a natural emphasis, sophisticated and classy. I’m very particular with the aesthetic for any changes to my body. ??Dr Rahban was the 1st surgeon I met with after a solid year of research. I came away from my consult knowing he was the one. He has an honest, transparent and informative approach. He speaks to the point with the confidence I needed in a surgeon. He is human and raw, no unnecessary fluff, and I trust those qualities. I appreciated the time he spent in my consult, answering my questions and educating me on the surgery with no pressure. Have a listen to his podcast episodes about breast augmentation, they are super helpful and informative and give you a good sense of his approach.
Dr Rahban’s approach to sizing stood out to me. He doesn’t make you choose a cup size or agree to an implant size beforehand. Instead you choose goal photos (too big, too small, just right) and he will try different implants during the surgery, to match the decided goal photos. The idea of this approach made so much sense to me rather than signing away on an implant size that might not look like your goal.
The Surgery
My surgery day was impeccable. I had a great chat with Dr. Rahban about our final goals for the surgery. I remember being nervous but he came into the room with a calm yet confident approach, he offered a softness to our conversation that I very much appreciated in that moment of excitement yet fear.??
I also got to chat with Dr Chan, the anesthesiologist, before surgery too. He was so kind and we had a laugh together. He made me feel incredibly safe and I felt sure I was in great hands. I explained that previously, waking up from anesthesia was not a pleasant experience for me, but he reassured me it wouldn’t be like that. He was totally right, I had a fantastic sleep and such a smooth wake up from the surgery. ??
When I came around, the nurse was so sweet, I felt great but I needed a little comfort and had asked to hold her hand. She came right over and stood with me holding my hand and took the time to just be there with me for a short while.
Post Surgery
I had a 1 week, 2 week and 7 week follow up. I couldn’t believe how little pain I was in, and at my 1 week appt. my breasts were already looking great, the bruising was extremely minimal and my incisions were so neat and small. Dr Rahban ‘closes’ all of his patients and his skill at creating minimal incisions is apparent in the results. My new breasts have such a fantastic natural appearance, and given my lack of breast tissue to start with I wasn’t sure that this would be possible. The sizing matches my goal photos, they look and feel wonderful!??
In my opinion our bodies deserve nothing less than second-to-none care and world class work. It may cost more than other options but it is worth it. If I ever need another surgery I will not hesitate to return to Dr Rahban’s office for the level of care and artistry involved throughout.
??I want to also give a huge shout out to all the staff who welcomed me, organized my scheduling, removed my stitches; Tiffany, Layla, Lety, Sally, Dr Chan and anyone I’ve missed; you have all been fantastic and I’m beyond thankful for your care on this journey. I’m so excited for summer and to wear my collection of new bikinis with my new boobs!
