Worst experience of my life. I will never have...

Worst experience of my life. I will never have another cosmetic procedure except to have a revision. I am so embarrassed and depressed from the results. I expected a natural looking rhinoplasty result and instead got an overdone fake looking nose. Everyone and I mean everyone can tell I have had something done to my nose and it is humiliating!

Nightmare Continues

Consulted with another plastic surgeon in the area and was told I would have to have a revision. My nose is curved so far in on both sides that the area between my eyes looks flat. I wake up every morning and can't believe this has happened to me.

Would you be willing to post a review about the new surgeon, if you decide to go through a revision? I live in the ATL area and would definitely subscribe to hear your journey :)

Hello! Been researching more about rhinoplasty, and I just stumbled upon an amazing facial surgeon in Atlanta named Dr. Burke Robinson. I was incredibly impressed with his before/after gallery, and one of his patients (who isn't pictured on his website) even did a Real Self review including before and after pics... I really love how she still looked liked herself afterward, just better :)
Anyway, it made me think of you... and, okay, I thought of myself too, lol, because as of right now he is definitely topping my list for rhinoplasty. If you get a chance, check out the Q&A section of his real self profile page; he only answered a handful of questions, but almost all of them were about rhinoplasty, and MAN, does he know his stuff!!!! I learned a lot.

There is Hope

Had my third consult with a doctor on the west coast. He told me there was good news and bad news when it came to my nose. I told him I wanted the bad news first and he told me that the bad news is I have to wait a year. Which I figured, but I was hoping he would say six months but he didn't. The good news is that he said my nose was still salvageable and that I could get a more natural looking nose. I was relieved to hear that because there is not a day that goes by that I regret this surgery. Well, I guess my life will be on hold until July, what a mistake!

That's great that you've been on three consults. Do you feel like you are close to selecting a surgeon, or do you plan to do more consults? Have they been doing before/after computer imaging during the consults? Waiting is hard. I keep a list of the 12 months following my surgery date, and cross them off as they pass.

I plan to do more consults but, I do have one I am leaning closer to than the others. It's hard because I have so many social events that I would like to attend but can't because of my nose. There is not a day tt goes by that goes by that I regret this whole thing. Your right, waiting is the hardest part. How much longer do you have to go? Unfortunately, I have way too many more months to go before I start counting down but I like your idea. Take Care.

Surgeons vary in how early they are willing to do a revision. Some mandate waiting a year, while others decide on a case by case basis and will do them earlier (especially if your swelling is resolving). I'm seven months post a revision, and my swelling has been stubborn - so I will wait a full year before even doing consults. Good luck with your future consults. I'm glad the surgeons are helping you to feel hopeful.

Hi ! I've been reading your reviews but now I'm nervous :( I have a consultation with Majmundar. Can you inbox me?

How long has it been since you got the procedure? I felt the same way a week after. But it's getting better, still not a 100% I hate this long drawn out process, it's unbelievable how long it takes for the swelling to go away.,I'm embarrassed

Well, I wish I had swelling because that was last time that I look half way decent. You know you are in trouble when the doctor comments that your nose is small after you have had your cast taken off. Sorry to say mine gets worse with time. I haven't been out of the house since only to go to work of course. Worst experience of my life and has taught me to be satisfied with what you have. Also, just because someone has the credentials doesn't mean they have an aesthetic eye.

Sorry if you posted it already but when did you get the surgery done? And yes that's bad if he said it was small after taking the cast off, when my cast came off it was like wowww u have a lot of swelling.. Lol trying to bring humor to the situation. I pray you feel better hun :)

It was done this summer. Three weeks later I returned to work and everyone knew I had something done. Once the initial swelling went down, I started to resemble an avatar it was really quite disgusting. It was so small and looked so unnatural, I had to get fillers in order to look somewhat normal. Fillers have helped me to deal with this somewhat but I won't be completely be myself again until I have a revision.

It's really so ironic that he gave you a small nose when you didn't want one, because I wanted mine smaller and he said he doesn't do "those kind of noses". Seems like a game. He did primary and revision rhinoplasty on me and I'm going to have to pay a 3rd time for another doctor to fix it! He does not listen, minimizes the patient's opinion, and most of his office help is really terrible too. After my revision he wouldn't even attend my followup visit because he knew he had messed up. I never went back.

I'm so glad I ran across this post because I was gonna go to him but instead I went to Dr Jones
November 12, 2016
So glad that you did. The only reason why I am doing this is to keep someone else from having to go through what me as well as others are still going through. If someone has posted their experience I could of had avoided so much pain and embarrassment.
November 12, 2016
Ohhh sorry you have to go through that. These doctors just don't know this is our face that we have to live with. They're so nonchalant about doing surgery
November 12, 2016
I know, so sad. Hopefully I can find a skilled revision surgeon who can help me. I am not limiting myself to Georgia. I want this to be my last surgery.

I follow Dr Ghavami on Instagram he seems good but he is super expensive!!!
November 12, 2016
Yes, I have considered him as well as Dr. Hamilton in LA. I'll be glad when I can put this behind me and start living again.

I'm considering this doctor for this same procedure and tbh unless I see proof of a botch job, I'll likely have him do my nose due to all his overwhelmingly positive reviews and extensive experience.
I hope you decide to go forth with a revision so you can get the nose of your dreams x0x0x
Did you have a septaplasty done alongside the rhino, or did you just have the rhino? I do know tht there are supposed to be some good rhino-revision doctors in the Carolinas. I'll post their names once I remember.
