I had a modified (donut) mastopexy (and some initial revision straight after) at III HS in 2011/2012. There's no doubt Yannis is a kind surgeon and was obviously attempting to give me the result I wanted at the time, after being passed from another surgeon their who had suddenly left. I contacted my patient co-ordinator back in 2013, to raise some further concern about stretching, shape and size of areola and general lack of volume and flatness (and provided pictures). However, I was told my result wasn't Yannis's fault and I would have to pay again for more work. I have lived with this result for some now, accepting it, assuming it was me that was the issue. However, having had several (5) different recent surgical opinions (following the suggestion to do so after seeing a cosmetic surgeon on another issue and him noticing the current state of my surgical aftermath) it seems I never should have been advised to have it, since this particular surgery would never have achieved what I wanted and whilst there is some improvement from my original position, the end result is very poor. Even with my current breasts I am told I still need at least a vertical (lollipop) uplift and thus one can infer i would have definitely needed it on my original breasts. Having had a crisis of confidence following this recent enlightenment, I am now having to pay out again to have the original procedure (lollipop lift and implants) that should have been advised to me at the time. I therefore feel the wrong advice was given to me at the time and given that many surgeons (at least in Europe) seem now to refuse to do these mini lifts for all but a particular situation, of which I was not and am still am not one, I am compelled to comment on the advocacy at this practice.
