20 Fat Years of Not Experiencing Life As I Want is Coming to an End :D - Aberdeen, UK

I am an excellent dieter...I rock at losing weight...it's my thing.
I just can't ever keep it off.
I grudgingly came to the conclusion that 17 years of doing it for myself just hadn't worked out for me and with every gain, an extra stone added on. I am on a slippery slope to severe health issues, and morbid obesity.
I had my first meeting with Duff in June and he gave a good thumbs up for going ahead with surgery. My partner works away which is a pest for scheduling, however I've just had to go for a date when he isn't home or I'd be another 3 months before I got the operation.
I'm booked in for the 20th September pending the appointments with the dietician and psychiatrist going fine. I can't see any issues...it seems i am (regrettably) a classic case to benefit from bariatric surgery.
This site is mad...I have learned so much in the past couple of days. I know someone who had the surgery and has had great results so far...but they aren't as stringent with themselves as I want to be, so all the advice on here has been fab!
I want to be the best version of myself and can't wait to be controlling my eating for the positive rather than the (personal crisp eating challenges etc) negative :D
