10 month PO Tummy Tuck Update

well its been 10 months now. wow how time flys by. I still have swelling above the scar line but it is going away in spots. I pray it will go down that same way all over. Most of the swelling is above the pubic area. Dr. says this is the last place to go. I also just had minor scar revision on the ends. One side had a dimple and the other side needed some skin and little fat removed. I am now wearing compression undies to help with the scar healing. Over all I am pleased. I do still feel that is should of been thighter on upper abdomen would of been better and a bit more fat removal around the belly button would of been perfect. I suppose expecting perfection is not a good thing. I am just being picky. For my age I believe it is fine. I am now thinking of getting lipo on flanks and upper hamstring area since the PS would not do everything at the same time. I am not sure though. I am older and worry about possible loose skin afterwards. Hum, something for me to think about. I have put on about 5 lbs since surgery which amazing me. I work out hard but I believe it is my age and my hormones have been crazy out of whack. Any ways I hope this info helps someone out there.

Did you do your scar revision in the docs office, under local anesthesia? I have a dog ear that I need fixing and am curious about where, when and how this is done. I'm at 5 months now.

i had mine done at 10 months. It was done in the drs office. he put numbing cream on area then injected the area. i was totally awake. I couldnt really feel it. i did feel a tiny twinge on one side but it didnt hurt.

Thank you. I am for the most part. I think there could of been a couple of things that could of been better but for the most part it was a big improvement. Now on for the lipo in 2 weeks.

5 months PO update

Well 5 months has passed since TT. Wow how fast time has gone. Nothing real new to report. Still dealing with swelling above the scar line. It dose appear to be going away in some parts. It almost seems like the swelling moves. Where it use to be going down is now somewhat swollen and others areas that were puffy seem to be going flat. Strange. I am still taking Bromelain and Vitamin C to help with the healing and swelling. My scar is getting much better. the redness is continuing to go away. Still have some minor concerns that I will address at my 6 month PS visit. So far go good, and still trying to be patient and not so picky. Or is ok to be picky? Humm?

Glad to read about your progress. I'm around 5 months also, from a mini. I just had a followup visit with my dr today, and I was concerned about still having swelling. He said yes, it can still be there....I go back in 2 months, and he said IF it was still there, then he may do a minor "lipo" to it, in his office....no charge. I'm just glad he is listening to me. My upper ab also seems to stick out some, which I asked about, but he described to me how the rib cage is made, and that some people's goes in, some are flat, and some have a slight curve to them.....he said even if I would have gotten a full, he thinks that little "puffy" spot right under my breasts, would still be there. ?? So I don't know. ha. I guess I will try to quit focusing on that part, because I think I'm going to have to just live with it, but at least the swelling above my scar line, he may adjust....in time. (If needed). I think it's ok to be picky. :) Mine is still numb, and still hurts at times, when I am exercising, or stretch real good. Does yours?

I dont feel any pain when I excercise. but if I do lots of abs it swells alot. the only time it feels strange is if i try to lean backward. I do not have any pain when stretching sideways. I dont normally do not lean backwards anyways. I still have numbness too. Some times I slouch for a long period when sitting in my computor chair at work and tend to get some abdominal cramping around the belly button. its weird. so i try to remember to sit up straight or lean back in the chair. Glad to here you are doing well too.
