Back To Work In Two Weeks!!! - Albany, NY

My entire life people have told me that I didn’t look “my age.” But at 59 my chin and jowls were sagging and in danger of sliding right off my face! I have a job where I frequently provide presentations to large groups of people, and I also perform with various theater groups. I was no longer feeling “comfortable in my skin” so after doing extensive on-line research, talking with friends and acquaintances who have had “work” done, referrals from my primary care and dermatologist, and 3 consults, it was crystal clear that Dr. David Tauber was the surgeon for me.
As would be expected, I was quite nervous (committed, but nervous) about having facial surgery. When I arrived for my consult the front office staff and the environment at Deluca Plastic Surgery were welcoming and calming. Dr. Tauber was personable and professional and spent as much time as I needed talking with me about what outcomes I would like to see, and what his suggestions would be for achieving those outcomes.
Because of my hectic work schedule I had a tight time-frame when I would be available for surgery and by rescheduling his obligations, Dr. Tauber accommodated my schedule. For that I am very grateful.
Prior to going in to surgery Dr. Tauber checked in and reviewed our plan and was very reassuring and confident. His bed side manner being very relaxed helped me to be the same.
Surgery went well. I was sent home with medications and icing instructions. Dr. Tauber had said that pain would be minimal. I was skeptical. I took the pain medication the first night prophylactically, but the next day I switched to over the counter pain relief and I was pain-free….no one was more surprised than I! In addition, I am still amazed at the minimal swelling and bruising that occurred. While I understand that everyone is different, I am clear that the skill of the surgeon has a direct impact on the amount of post-op swelling and bruising. I was back to work in 2 weeks with zero discomfort and no hesitation about how I looked….in fact, I looked fabulous! Not 20 years old, but fabulous!
Follow-up has been excellent and I would highly recommend that anyone who is considering plastic surgery schedule a consult with Dr. Tauber before making your decision.
