Patience is Key!

After having my stitches removed 2 weeks post op, I had to wait another week for the strips to fall off. It was hard to see my scars at first because they are so dark and rough to the touch. I knew from the beginning that my scar healing process wouldn't be ideal, especially because I have never healed well from other scars. I am using the biotin oil which I really like along with the scar sheets. With that being said I am still extremely happy with my results and am feeling more and more confident everyday :)

Two weeks post op

I had my stitches removed today! I am very happy, Dr. DeLuca said I am healing well and he is happy with the symmetry of my breast. I basically feel back to normal as far as doing simple things in my everyday life, such as driving, cooking, cleaning and so on.
My skin tone on my breast is not very even, but I am hoping the biotin oil will begin to help give me a more even look and help reduce the look of redness on the inside of my breast. Dr. DeLuca also explained to me that once these strips fall off in a week or so I can begin using the scar sheets, which I am looking forward to.

Almost at 2 weeks post op!

This coming Thursday I will be returning to Albany to have my stitches removed. I am happy with my progress so far. I have been out of the house much more and feel back to normal while walking. I tried a bathing suit on a few days ago that I was never really comfortable in because it never really stayed up on top, and I was extremely pleased when I tried it on.
I am looking forward to learning how to massage my breast after the stitches are removed.
