Good product- have realistic expectations
Here’s a picture 6 weeks after the procedure, please note my doctor treated *above* the fat roll, not on it. At 6 weeks I see some improvement but I know from past experience with coolsculpting in other areas I tend to see the most dramatic results closer to the 12 week mark. If you look closely though you can see that, even though I have unfortunately gained 5 pounds over the past month, the treated area directly below my bra (same bra in before pics) bulges out less. Coolsculpting works when done by an expert (shout out to Dr Shanthala in Peabody, MA she is literally the BEST)
As for the Alastin Body Treatment, I feel strongly that if you’re going to do coolsculpting it’s really worth it to pay the extra $195 to maximize your results and get the most out of your fat loss procedure. I truly believe it significantly shortens swelling/discomfort and based on personal experience ( I’ve used Alastin on all but one coolsculpting session) I think it does improve results. For all these reasons, I do believe it is worth the one-time expensive cost of purchase if you are doing a weight loss procedure.
With that said, it is just a lotion and those can only do so much on their own so if you’re not doing a fat loss procedure, I don’t think the price tag is worth it. It’s not going to spot reduce fat on its own.
In conclusion, if you have realistic expectations and use it in conjunction with a fat loss procedure, I think you’ll be pleased with your results and that it’s a worthy purchase.

1 week later - no more swelling
Alastin is awesome when it comes to decreasing swelling after coolsculpting. I’ve had cycles done before without it and I was somewhat swollen and/or bloated feeling for at least 3 - 4 weeks . This time around with Alastin, I had zero swelling by the 1 week mark and it was very mild by day 3 . It’s also does keep my skin feeling smooth and hydrated so it’s a good lotion in that sense. TBD on the other properties
Alastin TransFORM Body Treatment
I had 2 small cycles of coolsculpting on my back on 5/18/2019 from a board certified doctor and started using Alastin TransFORM body treatment the week before. This picture was taken at the doctor's office right before the treatment and the markings show the placement of the applicators. It's meant to be used after a fat loss procedure because it allegedly enhances your results so I'm a great candidate to test it out and am excited to share my experience.
I received this complimentary treatment through the RealSelf Insider program.
