My Journey

WORTH IT$4,500
I’ll start by saying I’ve wanted an a Rhinoplasty since I was atleast 13 years old and I am now 29yrs old. So I guess we can say this was a long goal for me. However, I can never really see myself going through with a full rhino because I still want my black nose and features , a lot of surgeons give this Barbie type nose & needless to say I wanted to avoid that. I contact Dr. Janjua in 2022 and have 2 consultations with him, he began recommending an alarplasty with Tipplasty, I took it into consideration & then thought about it. I then contact his clinic again in Jan 2024. We pretty much continued where we left off, I kindly rejected the Tipplasty and he didn’t pressure me at all into getting it which I loved! I put on my big girl pants and just made the payment, I knew if I thought about it too much I would never do it. The end of Jan I made the payment and I was set for March 1st @ 8am.

Day of surgery: The day of surgery I was filled with sooo much anxiety & I was doing this alone, going in I was there super early. I finally went in at 7:45am and my surgery literally started around 8:15am which was amazing timing. Normally having surgery and processing paperwork can take hours sooo I was it expecting such a quick set up.

After the surgery I was sooo swollen and I thought my tip had gotten some work done until I realized it was just the anesthesia. I was swollen for atleast 2-3 weeks. My journey seemed like I was healing perfectly. I was even taking extra steps and being very thorough with cleaning and careful, I was even scared to touch my own face.

3week-1 month update/ Follow up:as I was healing I realized one of the sides of my nostrils was not completely closing. I wasn’t too worried about it because it was still early in the process and very minor(it wasn’t even noticeable) upon my follow up appt I informed Dr. J of the slit. Because I didn’t want it to be over looked. He took a look at it the put some laser treatment on both nostrils. The told me to clean only with soap and water and Vaseline until the next follow up. Once I came back from my appt idk what happened but now I have a bludge of skin on the right side of my nostril, which looks like. Pimple on the side. After a few weeks I assumed it would heal due to putting on cease line day / night and constantly keep it layered with Vaseline. I’ll even have days where the bulge of skin looks very minimal and some days it’s big and I feel it seeping or a little blood will drip on the sides even a month after. Luckily. , I’m able got text Dr. J and he says this is normal..it doesn’t feel normal tbh. I’m kinda hoping on my follow up appointment this skin can be removed or cut off or something…I feel a little insecure about it..my left side is almost perfect though. I have not worn any foundation or makeup in that area because I can see the skin is still open and don’t want to get any chemicals in it and make it worse. Idk if this can be fixed but I’m super worried about it and praying this can be glued together or something..other can that I love my results and would love it even more without that skin issue. Will update every month. Before and after pics and video are below

I LOVE your results!! I'm considering the surgery with him as well do you regret not getting the tip plasty at all? I have a similar tip as you and I originally wanted the alar base reduction only but I'm worried my tip will look weird your results give me hope bc it looks perfect without the tip plasty

don’t regret only opting in for the alarplasty, I loved my tip before the surgery and even now after. I have noticed although I didn’t get a Tipplasty some how the tip of my nose did slightly change since my surgery. I’m still considering maybe in the future but for now I like it.

Update! 04/25/24

Exquisite579556
Went to my follow up on 04/25/24 and informed dr. J of my open wound / bump he consoled me that this happened due to over moisture and was a hypergradual excess skin. He kindly cut it and added silver nitrate. I was a bit nervous because it was so dark - nearly a black…he warned me it’ll be dark then will fade. Literally not even 3 days later the black scab began to heal and come off. My other side is starting to look normal again i can’t wait until it’s fully healed. I was not able to wear a full face of makeup because I did not want to infect the wound when it was open so I’m excited that it was fixed.

When looking back at pics I see a huge difference in how feminine my features & face looks now, I feel confident looking someone back in the face and not wondering if they are seeing my nose first before my other amazing features. I love how I still have a black nose, Just an FYI, my mother came to visit me in April and she could not tell that I had any work done on my nose (keep in mind this is only 1 month post op lol) no one can tell unless I point it out, not even my long term gf of 3 yrs new I had work done & when I pointed it out she said, “I knew something was diff but couldn’t pinpoint it”

I feel absolutely confident & gorgeous! Going on 2 months on May 1st 2024 and still not healed but I’m happy with my results..this has felt like the longest journey, being that my bday is in May this was pretty much a gift to myself, I’ll try to do an update if I need to on my next follow up or within 4-6month update with more pictures.

Wow you look great. Honestly the best possible outcome for plastic surgery. Natural and a huge improvement while not being noticeable.

Update: 08/4/24

Exquisite579556
Going on 5 months and I still love my results. From the my surgery until now Dr. J has and is continuing to take care of me to make sure my progress is basically perfect!

April 2024-July2024: I’ve had numerous follow up appts for a little opening I had which is now closed and my scares are barely noticeable, Dr. J did not just continue to tell me to put scar cream he went above and beyond and I’ve had a few laser treatments on my scares as I think my tissue was a little more complex while healing, He even added some silver nitrate which really helped with a little bump I had from the stitching :). Each session I left with release because my progress kept looking better.

August 2024: I still use the scar cream provided every day/ night. And keep it extra protected during the summer heat. As of now my next appt is in September 2024.

Emotional Changes/ differences: I want to specify that my journey was a trust the process, I knew it was going to look good but still nervous again because it was my face. Five months later I can really see a difference and how softer my features look, I no longer have that heavy insecurity of smiling (and my nostrils would widen) if anything I’m smiling a lot more these days. I’m no longer nervous to face frontal towards someone. This has really been a life changer for me and not to toot my own horn but since the swelling has gone down I’ve gotten the most random compliments from random ppl telling me “You’re beautiful “ or “your pretty” (no one needs outside validation of course but I’ve definitely noticed a difference in ppl approaching me or complimenting me as I was not complimented like that before especially back to back, or it can just be my confidence lol). I’m even more confident taking pictures. This surgery has literally changed a lot for me.

-I also want to specify that when you get surgery you will literally look for flaws, I absolutely am in love with my nose but there are times(not too often) where I want an even “smaller” nose or I think not enough was taken off then I an hour later I love it again. So pls allow Dr. J to do what he does best and he’ll give you an accurate diagnosis. I’m so glad he went with taking off Large. I thought it would be too much but it’s great! Also keep in mind with any surgery you will have scars in my case I have very minimal to the point where no one can see unless they are so close they’re breathing in my skin. That how unnoticeable the scars are.

IN CONCLUSION I still love my results, I will attempt to do an update in sept or a 1 yr. Update.
