Significant nostril reduction - looks like I was born with it

I had an alarplasty with Dr Janjua at the beginning of Dec 2021 and would highly recommend him for anyone looking for something similar.
He was warm and very welcoming, putting me at ease throughout the surgery and healing process. I came from abroad, alone, for my surgery so I was very grateful for this. I had multiple opportunities to ask questions and at no point felt like my desires or concerns were being dismissed.
He was also attentive and experienced. This resulted in a new nose that I absolutely LOVE - I feel like my nose is much more feminine and fits my face so much better. My scarring is very minimal, and I am using scar creams to lessen them, although they don't concern me much. They are extremely well hidden in the shape of my nose - not noticeable at all unless perhaps I go up close and pointed them out to somebody.
When the swelling had gone down, close to none of my friends could notice I had any surgery (which was exactly what I wanted) until I told them and showed my before pictures. There is a significant reduction in my nostrils, but it still looks like my natural black nose, and looks like I was born with it. I suffered no hyperpigmentation, I was extremely pleased with that.
Anyone considering this surgery should be aware that the swelling takes time to go down (mine took about 2 weeks to go down by about 70%-80%) and know that swelling is not an accurate representation of the end result! I wish that was stressed to me earlier, would have saved me a lot of temporary regret and tears.
If you are coming from abroad, make sure to take the money for the surgery out in cash, or inform your bank beforehand that you are travelling, as I encountered an issue when trying to use my account for such a large purchase in the USA. This was resolved by using another payment method.
Post-surgery, Dr Janjua and his team have been so caring and have regularly kept in contact with me to make sure I am healing well and they answer any of my questions.
In summary, I had an amazing experience with Dr Janjua and he was worth every penny.

1.5 years on and I STILL catch myself in the mirror and smile when I see my new nose. Truly the best thing I’ve ever spent my money on, and I can’t describe how grateful I am to Dr J for my surgery.

My scars on the sides of my nose are basically invisible, and I will admit that I wasn’t actually consistent with using scar creams! They are extremely well hidden in the crease of my nose, and after a few months post-op they had 100% healed.

I also still have no hyperpigmentation. So I’m really pleased. As a black woman, scars and hyperpigmentation were my biggest fears.

Everything about cosmetic surgery is scary, especially on something as obvious as your face. I remember being so nervous the day before! But Dr J’s kind conduct helped me relax and feel at ease.

Months after my surgery his office still kept contact with me and made sure I was healing well, which I appreciate to this day.

I’ve added some pictures of my journey. I asked for a natural black nose, which wouldn’t look pinched but gets rid of the flare/wide nostrils I had. And I got exactly what I asked for!
