Bad Experience
I had three alarplasty procedures with Riaz between the ages of 16 and 18, and I deeply regret going to him.
Before choosing Riaz, I had seen some negative reviews online, but I honestly never thought this would happen to me. I was 16 at the time and trusted this surgeon. I never imagined I would end up having three surgeries.
I paid £3,000 for my first surgery in 2023 when I was 16. There was barely any improvement. I then paid another £2,000 for a second surgery, hoping to correct this.
In my opinion, the second surgery left my nose looking significantly worse than before. I was left with alar notching, asymmetry and scarring. When I raised these concerns, I was told to wait and allow more time for healing.
Around a year later, another revision was agreed to be done for free because I was still unhappy with the scarring and notching. Before my third surgery, I specifically explained how distressed I was by the previous scarring and asked for the incisions to be sutured as neatly as possible. Despite this, I was left with scarring again which, to me, had a noticeable train-track appearance.
After letting my nose heal again, I was still left with visible scarring, uneven nostrils and alar notching. I contacted Riaz again to discuss my options, but when I asked to arrange a Zoom call, I did not receive any response.
After three surgeries, spending £5250 (including the consultation) and waiting years for my nose to heal, I felt completely alone to deal with the result myself.
I deeply regret going to Riaz and wasting my money on these procedures. In my opinion, I was left with visible scarring, train-track marks, asymmetry, alar notching and very unhappy with the results.
