6 weeks out
I am officially 6 weeks out from my procedure. I have been continuing to wear my FAJAs daily, almost 24/7 until just these past few days. I've cut down to sleeping in a less restrictive body suit to allow my skin to breath as it was becoming irritated at times from the foams and FAJA I believe. I can still see indentations though when I do remove my FAJA so I know there's more swelling to go down. Overall I'm extremely happy with my results. I do hope to have some more improvement on my back side in the upper bra roll area, but I know that once I start getting into a full workout routine again I can start to focus on certain areas. I just started working out again slowly during week 5. Although I am on my feet for at least 12 hrs a day and I went back to work less than 5 days post op so I haven't been sedintary in any way. Hopefully by the 3 month mark my diet and regimen I've been working on will start to help in other areas I didn't have work done and just make my mid section that much better!
Excited So Far.. Now for the Wait to See the Real Results )
I am typically a pretty active person, you could say moderate I guess, but my job is also a physical job so I'm not sedintery by any means and I may not eat the absolute greatest but I certainly don't eat the way I did 10 years ago and am pretty involved with prepping my meals. Recently in my life I have gone through a couple traumatic events and ever since I have been struggling with being or feeling myself, my body being one of the biggest disappointments and despite being consistent with physical activity, cutting out certain things from my diet and even trying prescribed diet pills, I haven't seen any improvement or changes. I haven never been a thin girl by any means, but I was at a point where I was comfortable in my skin with a fluctuating 10lbs or so and I could tolerate that. I currently am and have been at the heaviest I have ever been in my life and I was so uncomfortable with myself that I felt like I just needed some kind of extra help to maybe kick-start me in a way that I have never experienced.
So, I started researching Liposuction and the different variations available out there. I actually found the AirSculpt technique at Elite Body randomly and they ticked two major boxes I was wanting, 1) No anesthesia and 2) "Quick" recovery time. From the moment I contacted them the staff was extremely nice, honest and my consultant even had recently had a procedure completed and was able to tell me first hand how her recovery process was going and show me her puncture sites which I greatly appreciated. The office was extremely beautiful and clean and didn't make me feel nervous at all about having the procedure done right there in the procedures rooms on site. I initially did not book anything because I needed to speak with a different provider about a different health issue I'm dealing with and they were not pushy at all with any kind of pressure to give a deposit or put something on the schedule and I also apprecated that. So I took my free quote and let them know I'd be in contact soon hopefully. During this time I did also do another consultation that I paid for just to be sure to have some comparisons.
Once I saw my other provider, I reached out to the consultant via email and decided I was ready to set a date with Elite. She was so prompt with her response (it was even a Saturday!) and even though they were the more expensive option, she worked with me and they ended up having a last minute cancellation for the next day that worked perfectly with my schedule.
The day of my procedure went extremely smoothly, everyone at the facility was so nice and friendly, even to my designated driver. They were very thorough with answering all my questions before and after the procedure and even though I didn't meet the provider till that day, once he came in and introduced himself and explained everything again, I felt very comfortable and confident with letting him perform this procedure. He was very honest about the timeframe for actual results to be seen and that this procedure is not a way to acheive profection but "improvement." Throughout the procedure there was an nurse to assist the MD and they were both very good at communicating with me and explaining each and every step as it was happening. The entire procedure/OR time was actually probably less than an hour long and then they brought me to a little recovery room where my driver was able to come back. They kept me there for another 20 minutes or so to be sure how I was doing. The MD even came back while I was in recovery to check on me again, see how I was doing and thank me for trusting him. Then later that night, the MD even called me again to check in and see how I was doing which was very impressive to me.
Overall the actual procedure wasn't too bad, it had moments/spots far worse than others but none lasted too long that I couldn't handle it. I am only Post-Op day #1 today as I write this and despite the soreness (which I did take an Ibuprofen for) I don't feel that bad at all. I cannot remove my garments for 48hrs after which I can take a shower and have a first glimpse so I will try to update this once I am able to. I feel like I am very realistic with the timeframe of it actually taking months for the final results and I can't wait to see them. In the meantime I plan to just do my best with taking care of my body in other ways that I can control at this point. )
