This is 9 months after surgery. Swelling seems to be pretty much gone. I am in love with my results so far! He did exactly what I was looking for which is the best look for my face. Looking forward to see if there will be anymore changes at the year mark!

Good Experience for African American 29 Year Old
I had a very good experience. I spend months looking for a doctor who did good work on African American noses. I came across Dr Miller after seeing his work on IG. What I liked is he kept the ethnic appearance of the nose and that’s exactly what I wanted. With living out of state he was able to do a brief consultation through email. He told me the exact issues with my nose and how to improve it. I went forward with booking surgery for June 21.
Day of June 21- The team was very good with making me feel comfortable and explaining the procedure. We decided to narrow my wide bridge. Reduce the thickness of my nose. Build up my bridge. Define my tip and also give my bridge more of a slope instead of straight. I woke up from surgery with no pain. My fiancé showed me a picture from surgery that was posted online and I could already see a huge improvement!
2 day post op- I didn’t have to take any of the prescribed pain medicine or even any Tylenol after surgery! Literally no pain! Just very stuffy as your nose is swollen. So just an uncomfortable feeling of being stuffy and having to breath out of your mouth. My face was a little swollen and starting to bruise but very minimally.
4 day post op- Swelling went down and bruising starting to look better. I am able to breath a little through my nose which feels amazing. Before surgery I told myself I would stay in the house all week with having my cast on but I’m going crazy staying inside so I don’t care anymore lol. I went shopping and out to eat. Yeah people stared but I didn’t care anymore.
7 day post op (Cast removal) The cast was very easy to remove by day 7. Felt an instant relief after it being removed. Then the nurse removed the stitches. It didn’t hurt just felt weird. I was then able to look in the mirror. Although there was a lot of swelling I could see a BIG difference! Loveeeee it! Dr Miller then came back in and showed me the massages I need to do. The massages kind of hurt a little as the nose is still very sensitive. I am due to go back in the next 10 days!

I gets better and better as the days go by. I'm almost one month post-op and I also used Dr. Miller. I posted a review here on realself. Dr. Miller is definitely amazing.
I was looking at your photos and your nose look amazing. Your photos made me feel more excited about getting the surgery!
Your nose is beautiful. Kudos to your surgeon. I am African American but I want a more Caucasion nose and also my nose is crooked. I'm looking for a surgeon that is experienced with African American noses but I live in Oakland,California.
Thank you. I am going to put up a new picture 9 months after. I would say this surgeon is worth the trip!
Did you get a goretex implant?
