I am thrilled with the phenomenal results of my procedures at Aesthetic Surgical Images. The rhinoplasty and sliding genioplasy with liposuction of the chin results are subtle but very substantial. In addition to the great results of the rhinoplasty to remove the bump on the bridge of my nose, I am especially happy with the shortening of the columella and shape of the nostrils. I was worried my nose might turn out too dainty or I might have a noticeable saddle contour or that the nostrils might look manipulated but I am grateful that my exceptional surgeon, Dr. Bruneteau, took special care and that these fears did not pan out. I had wanted to have my chin worked on since I was very young as I had a pronounced double chin no matter how physically fit I was. This was my biggest overall self-image issue. Dr. Bruneteau suggested a sliding genioplasty combined with liposuction. I could not be happier with the results. My chin and jawline are incredibly defined now and there is no/hardly any noticeable sagging of the skin. Overall, the pain was very manageable during the first week. I was decreasing pain medication in about 5 days and taking half a pill in just under a week. There was quite a bit of swelling, bruising and discomfort that first week but that is to be expected. I had surgery on a Wednesday and was back to work the following Friday. There was still some minor bruising under my eyes and on my neck when I returned to work which continued for the next week or two, but many people at that time did not notice and still don’t know I had surgery. Of course those who know and care for me well or who have a keen sense of observation see the obvious differences and are amazed at the results and at how well I am healing. The main challenge is to take special care of the nose and chin while they heal (4 - 6 months) which is itself a big part of the overall process the discomfort associated with the procedures. I am now 6 weeks out from my surgery and only have very minor numbness in my chin, lower lips and at the very tip of my nose. I am healing remarkably well. I was even able to get back in the lap pool this week. There is still some minor normal swelling, but I look forward to seeing the nose and chin relax into their final look over the coming months and year. I do not question my decision to have the surgery at all, due I suppose, to the stellar results and truly exceptional work of my surgeon, Dr. Bruneteau.
