Post Op Day 15

Happy Saturday!! ????????????????????????????I made it!! 2 weeks and 1 day today. My journey has been challenging over these past 2 weeks, but each day it gets better. I received my 2nd massage on yesterday since I've been back home. They still hurt during the massage, but I feel so much better afterwards. My masseuse says that I'm healing nicely. The bruising and swelling has gone down a lot. I feel more pain after I've been lying down for an extended period of time and especially during the night. I wake up in the middle of the night and it feels like pins and needles are inside of me. I start moving my body while in the bed then once I get up and start waking around, I start to feel better. Girls who are flying , the flight back is no joke!!!! That's the worse part for me. I got to the airport too early and has to stand, walk around, sit on the hard half roller tube I purchased from Amazon. That thing hurt like crap!! Maybe because I got my inner thighs done as well. The plane ride was HELL! I sat down while the plane was taking off, turned and knelt backwards in the seat for awhile until my knees started hurting from the incision marks. The attendants finally allowed me to stand at the back of the plane for the majority of the ride home. I popped a stich and started bleeding. When I tell you, I looked and felt like crap getting off of the plane and walking thru the airport, words cannot adequately describe it. My BFF Who is a RN picked me and was dying laughing at me when she saw me. I looked tore up!! Lol! And I felt it! What a difference a week makes. I'm taking the post vitamins that I ordered from the make me heal website and still taking vitamin c and the iron pills. I'm also back taking my normal vitamin regimen... Collagen, D, and omega 3. Im
Still drinking water with lemon, BMs are normal. I'm also using mederma on my scars. I ordered 2 additional scar creams from Amazon that someone else on RS referenced.
I want to jump on these scars ASAP. I still using my solo red (mine is blue) cup to urinate. The urinal that I bought was a waste and made a mess. The cup is cheap; everyone has them and it's th BEST device to catch your urine in the garment hole!!! I'm also drinking the high protein ensures with 16g of protein because I'm not a big meat eater. I'm also drinking the naked green machine drinks. I will try to post some update pics later this evening. Love being Salamafied. I told him when he breaks up with his girlfriend to give me a call lol!!

Hey girl you look amazing and I'm glad to hear you are healing nicely. I'm one week post op today. I laughed reading your post about the blue solo cup mines blue too and I agree it fits perfect inside the faja. Can I ask you when your stitches began to dissolve and when you started using the scar cream.
August 18, 2016
Hi. Thank you and best wishes to you during your recovery. Well, unfortunately one of my stitches came out during my flight home. That flight ride was something. I think i only had a few so I'm not sure when they actually came out. My massage therapist told me that the one on my back is still there. If it's still there this Friday when I go back to her, I'm going to contact the dr next week. I started using my scar cream the 2nd week after my surgery. I also purchased some vitamin e oil that I use on them as well. I'm using 3 different types of treatment for them. I have 2 that are not smooth meaning they keloided a little. So I'm trying to really work on them. Hope this helps!

Ooh what are these solo cups please?!
August 19, 2016
They're plastic cups famously called the "red cups". They're everywhere. Just google and you'll recognize them. They're the best to use to urinate in. I hated the funnel and the cup fits in the hole of the garment and catches all of your urine perfectly without a mess.

Butt in or Out Compression Garment

Persistence102
I'm 13 days Post Op and making good progress. I was told by the staff that I can change into my butt in garment on day 14. I tried it on tonight after I took a shower and was washing my butt out and the butt in seems extremely tight in my buttock. My lipo'd areas feel really good, but I'm concerned about the pressure on my buttocks. Will anyone share their experiences with the compression garment? I'm going to call Dr Salama's office tomorrow to speak with Naomi. The pictures are post op day 7. I will post recent ones over the weekend.

Omg u look sooooo great. Just makes me more and more ready for my round 2 with Salama. Was ur waist already that small after round 1?
August 5, 2016
Thank you so much! Yes, my waist was small but Dr Salama made it smaller.
August 5, 2016
Do you mind which garment have you used and prefer? The butt in or butt out after 2 weeks
May 1, 2021
You look totally amazing
August 5, 2016
You look great hun I think I saw you while I was there too I was with my husband at the office when you came for your massage. He hooked you up
August 5, 2016
Thank you! Which garments do you prefer? The butt in or out? I have both and was told I can change to butt in at 2 weeks, but it's super tight on my butt.
August 5, 2016
You look great. I would do butt out that's what I have and what they give you right after surgery I believe for a reason But you should ask dr
August 6, 2016
Thank you and thanks for the feedback!! I will wear the butt out as long as i can. It's going to be a bit uncomfortable once o go back to work:
August 6, 2016
I had butt in when I got mines done but that was in 2012 I don't know which one best now
August 6, 2016
okay.. Thank you. He's providing butt out when patients leave his office. I purchased a butt in and was told by the nurse I could wear it after 2 weeks, but that Dr Salamas prefer butt in. The butt in is def. more comfortable and provides compression/support, but it's very tight on m butt.
August 6, 2016
Ughh I don't know. Is the butt part stretchy? I think my butt in cause me to get dents in my butt that I'm going for a round 2 to fix. A least I think that's what cause it don't know for sure
August 6, 2016
Also how much you weight and height? And do you have before pictures
August 6, 2016
Okay. Thanks for your feedback. I weighed 114 pounds before surgery. My height is almost 5 even. Ill have to try and find my before pics if I haven't deleted them.
August 6, 2016

Post Op day 6

Persistence102
Day 6... I'm doing a lot better. I'm still very sore. I went for my 2nd massage today and it was just as challenging as the 1st for me. I do have a low pain tolerance and never had children. I felt better afterwards. I can't stress enough, drink plenty of water, Gatorade, pineapple. Use the arnica gel, the bromelain pills, the staphsagria pills, ensure protein shakes, green shakes, and walk and stretch. I was able to Goto the mall on post op day 3 and walk around for a while. I also went out and ate at restaraunts; standing at the bar. Didn't care about the looks, I don't know anyone here. Good luck to everyone! Dr. Salama is the MAN!!

August 19, 2016
Thank you!!! You look fabulous yourself!!
July 29, 2016
You look awesome..I am scheduled for a revision in a couple months, how is the recovery so far compared to the first one?
July 29, 2016
Thank you. This one is worse because Dr Salama went aggressive with my Lipo and he lipo'd my arms and Legs in addition to my torso and back. The first one was done under local so the Lipo wasn't as aggressive. This one is kicking my butt, but it gets better day by day. If you follow his after care plan you'll be fine.
Also, I reviewed a lumphanic drainage massage 2 weeks prior and also took a hot bath with 1 cup of baking soda and 1 cup of kosher salt each night up to 2 nights before my surgery. My massage therapist recommended this to get my body ready and for it to release toxins prior to surgery. I also did the massages myself each day prior to surgery.
