I thought since realself has been such a big part...

I thought since realself has been such a big part of deciding what procedures I've decided to go ahead with or not, I would help others by sharing my experience with coolmini. For as long as I can remember I've had a hereditary double chin/lack of chin as I have a pretty weak chin/jaw. I've always wanted a chin implant but I won't be able to afford it for a while still, but I've noticed because of this structural weakness I have excess fat in my submental area. Could you believe with my chin I only weigh 49kg?! Ive dieted before and gotten down to 46/47kg and I still have my awful double chin. I've looked into so many different options including Kybella and Vaser lipo however as I am studying full time and work in retail I just can't afford the downtime from lipo and the bullfrog swelling of Kybella.
I had heard of coolsculpting before but I've always been extremely hesitant as it sounded kind of gimicky, but at this stage I've just had enough of my double chin and hence was willing to blow my savings on it to try to eliminate it.
I felt a little rushed at the start with the nurse and I didn't feel like I got a true opinion on its actual effectiveness but the nurse did slow down a little more when I mentioned I was nervous about the pain.
The machine itself sucks your chin into it and at the start I was strapped in so tightly to the machine and it was crushing my neck so badly I had to tell her to take it off as it was choking me. The second time round it was a little better but pretty sore to swallow as it sat against my windpipe. The pain when it began to cool was pretty uncomfortable I'd say a 5/10 mainly just because I found it quite scary. The way I was positioned made it pretty difficult to use my phone ect so I just drifted in and out of sleep for 45 minutes but I did like I said find it more scary than painful. The machine was loud and being so strapped was just a bit confronting. The pain as the machine stopped and my neck went back to normal was pretty bad - like a 6.5/10. My skin felt like it was burning where the applicator was and a lady from the clinic brought me some Panadol for it. My after massage lasted about 5 seconds as it was pretty painful like getting a sunburn massaged so I'm not sure if that will affect my results unfortunately :( now it's a day later post procedure and it's still a little red and feels quite bruised underneath and a little hard. No one else has noticed however as I've been out to dinner with friends only 24 hours after. Both the initial pain and after burning pain go away quite quickly though like ten minutes so that's really good.
I'm really pretty worried atm that I've wasted all my money and I won't see any results :( I have another session booked for 6 weeks time so I'll update after then as well. I don't think I'll be as upset next time as I know what to expect now. I'll try to update once a week so you can see the progress (or lack of). Trying to stay positive though.

17 days post and no difference :( probably looks a little worse! Going to keep waiting as I heard 2 months is when Max results are seen, plus I still have another round to go yet. Have been tempted to cancel my second round and have it credited towards liposuction instead but can't decide what's best :(

I'm almost 12 weeks post two overlapping cool mini treatments (four cycles) not seeing any difference so far :( was convinced to do second round now thinking I shouldn't have wasted the money. Hoping and praying I've not wasted nearly $3,000 Canadian!

That's horrible! This is my fear as well :( thinking everyone's body is different and maybe ours doesn't lose the fat as easy :(

It's finally looking a bit better, but not like I'd hoped. I have my 16week post follow up with final photos in just over a week. Now I think it looks like loose skin needing tightening.

I think chin results can be a little longer wait than body. That want experience. Don't give p yet. I think it was like 10 weeks for me. I'm waiting to see the results on my second round. I hope you get the results you want.

Your results are incredible! When did you first notice results? I'd be extremely happy to get what you got!

my neck was fluffier after two treatments of the coolmini with no results + 3months. (maybe got worse) I know what youre saying though. Im doing lipodissolve now.

It's an awful feeling isn't it! It works so well for some people :( I never wanted to do anything invasive but I don't want to waste my time and money again!

I know it is.. I should have stopped after the first treatment but I thought that I would get a little decrease in size at least.

As I have seen ur before procedure pictures and i really think that cool mini is not the suitable procedure for u. Chin augmentation is what you need. As you have mentioned, you are not really obese or fat, so the cause of your double chin is not excess fat, but due to weak chin. I'm not trying to sound know it all but because we have the same case. I have tried lipo dissolve, and exilis to my double chin but none really gave a noticeable result because i have weak chin.

No results, feeling doubtful :(

Nothing yet, almost seems a bit worse. One side is definitely worse than the other I've noticed. Still considering just going down the lipo route and cancelling the second appointment.

I would wait a bit. a lot of people dont see results until months later. most doctors say that two treatments are recommended to see improvement.

I had my first round in march and second in may and have yet to see any improvement... keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Oh no! :( I'm feeling really disheartened at the moment. Let me know if you do notice changes!
