Be Prepared to Take a Good Picture of Your Acne Scars Before They’re All Gone
I’ve lived with crazy acne scars since 13. They look baaaad, worse than it appears on the close up before pics. My scars literally made my skin look like a miniature surface of the moon especially when lights hit/shine down from above on my skin. The procedures Dr. Young did for me was extra aggressive probably because of how bad my scars were, he needled my whole face on top of laser resurfacing (unsure which one came first as I was out), followed by dermasanding. The recovery process was absolutely dreadful especially in the first week, with the needle wounds being there cleaning the wounds every hour was very painful even with pain pills, I barely had any sleep that entire week because my skin just hurts too much and the oozing made it also uncomfortable. But by the end it’s all worth it. My skin is flat now (looks even better if put makeup/concealer on) and I truly didn’t expect the ice pick scars on my cheeks to improve this much. It’s still not perfect, it probably will never be, but I’m so glad I met Dr. Young, feels like I have a second life now
