$4,000
I’m African American and a darker skin tone and deep scarring all over my face. I have several different types of scars desperately wanted to get rid of them. I was looking around to see what was best and I came across this procedure. I looked at the before and after’s went in and got a consultation and they recommended this to me as well. I paid $4000 (after saving for a while) and didn’t see any results. It’s been about 10 months since I’ve had the treatment. I looked at my photos from before and after and couldn’t really see a difference. After being disappointed by the results I did more research on lasers. Lasers don’t work well on ethnic skin tones, especially darker tones, and it’s not that great for deep scars either. I feel the physicians assistant knew it wouldn’t work well for me. She would’ve had to have known. $4000 is a lot of money to spend on something that ineffective but what’s worse is having to live on with the terrible scars. I don’t trust this place as being an honest ethical establishment. I do not recommend anyone to come here. If you’re considering this just think if it was really that great there will be a lot of positive reviews about it. I couldn’t find any. Please don’t waste your money especially if it’s a stretch.

Get your money back. Try microneedling, once a month. you have to do it forever but your confidence will be back.

I had 2 big and deep scars on my face. Lasers don't work when scars are too deep but doctors still want to make money..... I tried some laser treatments and then used another technique. In French it is called "relèvement cutané". It's not microneedling. It is a 2 or 3 part procedure and I guess that the doctor wouldn't be able to treat all your scars at once. So it takes time, and it's difficult to do the procedure when having social obligations. But it works and it's not painful. I do see a very minor improvement, but not worth that amount of money, indeed.
I'd see an expert in acne scar revisions, there's one in Australia that's amazing. Dr. Lim

I feel you pain and disappointment. I have been suffering with acne scars for more than 30 years. As a dark skin individual I've tried different procedures to eliminate, correct or minimize my scarring. Like you I've encountered practitioners, who promise unrealistic results or worse have been totally dishonest. Don't know what practitioner you consulted regarding the F.A.S.T. procedure. I consulted one in New Jersey, who promised the same thing. When making the appointment I was assured the facility offered the procedure. When I sat down at the consult, I didn't meet with a doctor, rather it was a physician assistant, who told me the facility didn't have fractional CO2 laser on site. The assistant then offered using Bellafill to treat the scars (of course at a substantial cost). Needless to say, that was not what I was looking for and I left the office. I recently began a treatment consisting of ultrasound, ematrix and microneedling with PRP. I will let you know how I progress.
I know how disillusioning and depressing it can be at times, but everyday new medical innovations are discovered. Don't give up hope.

Thank you for your comment. I've given up on expensive treatments because I've invested too much money at this point. I'm broke and in debt and no longer wish to add to that from ineffective treatments. I'm currently doing chemical peels are microneedling but I'm doing it myself at home. If you see improvement in your procedures please let me know.

Naming the type of laser treatment would be more useful
