WORTH IT
Wow - I don't even know where to start... so I apologize that this will be a long review, but bear with me. I will try to go from initial consult to result one week following the procedure.
Initial consult - It was booked quickly and took place during COVID when the lockdowns first began. I was able to get a consult with Dr. Emer and my patient coordinator, Brittany. Prior to the call, Brittany took down information from me so that Dr. Emer could have a good idea of what was bother me. While on the call, Dr. Emer was confident in his suggestions (i have literally never met a derma who was confident in their treatment LOL), and made me feel at ease. This was the first glimpse of hope I've ever had to get even SOME improvement to my skin.
Setting up the appointment: The concierge was fantastic, and they were understanding when I had to cancel my first appointment when COVID began to spike again. Admittedly, there was one moment in time where I did not know who I was supposed to talk to for things like the procedure estimate, prescriptions, skin care, etc, but that was because everyone was so on top of things that they all reached out on a pretty consistent basis. Once I got it figured out, we were good to go. Brittany and Lindsey worked with my budget and made sure I did not go in worried about what I was going to pay. I once had another provider charge me $2500.00 more than I was quoted, so this was incredibly appreciated. They were all so kind and put my anxiety at ease.
Day of Appointment: The staff was INCREDIBLE. I got lost on the way into their office, and one of the staff members saw me and walked me to the door. I wish I remembered his name (sorry, but THANK YOU). The nurse (again, I wish I remembered her name) who was taking care of me for the numbing, PRP etc was very kind. During the procedure, following the nerve blocks, I became super shaky.. we said it was from the nerve blocks but I am a pretty anxious person so I'm not too sure. Regardless, the nurse grabbed my arm to console me, and gave me a weighted blanket. Of course, Dr. Emer's bedside manner was second to none. He was kind, and made sure I was okay throughout the process. I let them film during the procedure and felt completely at ease.
Results: I am only a week out, and there are still scabs from the TCA cross, and I have yet to see the Sculptra go to work. Regardless, I do see an improvement that I am thrilled about. My overall skin texture is much improvement and the scars are smaller and/or shallower. WIN!
For my treatment I did: TCA Cross, Subcision, Halo, Fractora. We would have done Bellafill but could not since we did not know if I would be allergic.
THANKFUL to have finally found a glimmer of hope after my battle with scars for over ten years. I was ready to give up on trying to get my scar fixed up after so many failed attempts and I could cry I am so happy! Will definitely be going back as soon as I can!
