$1,000
At the end of my 3 sessions I did see a huge improvement in my skins overall texture. However, the reason I shelled out $1,000 dollars was to significantly reduce/eliminate my acne scarring. Knowing what I know now; I wish I just purchased the dermapen and did it myself. I met an esthetician who advised me to watch a tutorial video; I purchased the dermapen for close to $300 compared to $1,000.I can I administer the treatments once a month in tandem with a good skin serum. I’ll keep up with dermapen treatments but I will no longer be paying for them. Thank you guys for the support and good luck to all of you!

Hey friend, just wondering if you purchased your individual derma pen? If so any results?

I did purchase my dermapen on Amazon. Definitely getting better results because I can focus on those acne scars that are more prominent rather than going over my entire face (paid treatments). Had I known this earlier I would’ve saved a thousand dollars. BTW they have licensed professionals that administer “how to videos” on YouTube. Good luck James.

Correct! I’m doing better than medical professionals. Btw I did buy A6 Dermapen from Amazon it was about $250. Went deeper on Scars 2.5. Result is amazing. Glad found out sooner only after 2 treatments outside. So ya, will be doing it every month, will cover face, Neck also

How many times a month did you do it and how many months after did you notice the pitted/divots lifted? Did you put hyluronic acid on ?

Thank you for sharing your experience. I too have been battling with acne scars and was told told that I am not a good candidate for laser or chemical peels. They never said why, but I too have olive skin. I do have a derma roller which I bought from Marshal's. ($15) Is this the same idea as the Dermapen?

The dermapen is more like a tattoo needle, rapidly puncturing the surface at a set level. The rollers are very difficult to administer to the depth needed to access scar tissue, but will help serums penetrate and can help with superficial texture issues.
(I've done at home roller, home dermapen, and dermapen with PRP at a med spa. 7 sessions of the PRP dermapen combo made the biggest difference, the depth of my ice pick scars is much less and my over all skin texture is plumper, helping to fill the small scars with the increased collagen.)

Please let me know exactly which derma pen you bought. And also, which tutorial/YouTuber on YouTube you can recommend. Also, would you mind sharing your before, during, and after steps to achieve optimal results including the serum and creams you use? And what to keep In mind the; do's and the do nots. Thank you so much for your help in advance. I have been struggling with my texture and acne scarring like pits, boxcar and rolling scars and your advice is super helpful!

Scars resurfaced

Unfortunately as the collagen and swelling decrease I have noticed my scars visibility is beginning to show. Overall I do see a improvement in my skin texture, but even after the max 2.5 mm microneedle the scars are still present. Two more sessions so I’m still hopeful.

As an adolescent I struggled with acne. I, like many of us, got through it (acne free) but the physical scars still remain. I was always told I wasn’t a candidate for laser or even deep chemical peels due to hyperpigmentation, since I have Olive skin. So I just accepted I’d have thee scars for the rest of my life. Thankfully I heard about Avalon laser and they recommend Dermapen (micro-needles) that penetrate the dermis and help break up the scar tissue. After my first session I saw a MAJOR difference. Laura Welk, the physician who worked on me is an Angel. Laura is professional, informative and really cares about her clients skin care needs! Thanks Laura, see you again in November. I’ll keep you guys posted on my next 2 sessions.

I have had same boxscares all my life. I had one Microneedling session done by a professional for $500. I realized I could do it myself why spend every time $500. I end up buying Dr Pen N6 from Amazon. I did for a year every month & half one session. 2.5 on Cheeks, 1.5 other areas of face, .25 near eyes. My result is outstanding 90% of the scars GONE!!!
