Current pics, unfortunately not a huge difference
I’ve had 2 rounds of Morpheus8 and 1 round of accutite. I honestly don’t see a difference. I know it takes some time for the collagen and what not to build, so time will tell. I had accutite & morpheus back in March and 1 round of Morpheus8 mid June. It’s now August. So, take a look at the before (left side images) and after (right side) and decide.
Severe Swelling but We’ll See
*note: I’m writing this 2 days after my procedure so I will update as Healing progresses.
I had some concerns about saggy jowls and a double chin. I’m 44, and I thought I’d do some preventative maintenance. So I did a consult with a highly reputable doctor in Beverly Hills and she recommended a session of Accutite and a few rounds of Morpheus.
The day of the procedure, I accidentally took the Xanax too early, and while the initial part of the procedure was fine, the Xanax wore off the last half and it was excruciating.
They numbed me topically, then with needles, then started with the Accutite. Not gonna sugar coat this. It was painful- very painful. I have two large tattoos on my arms that I fell asleep while getting (to give you an idea of my pain tolerance), so I’m not joking when I say it hurts. I mean I was crying towards the end and had to take a break. She tried her best to inject me with numbing medicine but it also made my face swell like crazy. By the end of the Accutite I was in tears. The Xanax felt like it wore off and I still had the Morpheus8 to do.
Again, it was painful. The needles felt like little stabs in my face. I was trying my best to breathe through it but was shaking and trying to hold back sobs.
The total session took 2 hours, the wrapped my face tightly with bandages and informed me that I would be very swollen for a week or two, up to a month. So, if you have events coming up, plan accordingly. The short downtime people have been claiming is not that short. Sure, I feel good and can do things just fine, but my cheeks look like 2 grapefruit halves.
Would I do this again? Not sure. We’ll see how things develop over the next month.
