Changed my Life and Confidence!

I have been taking Isotretinoin now for nearly 2 months. I am 27 years old and I have never had the best skin. Acne would come and go, however, mid 2022 my acne broken out really pad where I had cysts on my face which I covered with plasters. I lost all confidence. I didn’t want to wear make-up but I piled it all on because I did not feel comfortable leaving the house! I felt uncomfortable getting into bed with my partner because of my face. I was in pain with the lumps and spot popping. I used creams, birth control, skin care routine and nothing helped me. Finally I received Isotretinoin from my dermatologist. I started the first month on low dose of one capsule, and now I’m on double capsules. I can now say that my face has completely cleared up. My skin is dry instead of oily, people are complementing how well my skin and complexion are looking! I’m wearing less make-up because I feel confident. Occasionally I’ve woken up with a spot, however this medication clears out your skin so that is suppose to happen. The only downfall is dry and swore lips, especially in this winter period! I’ve been using lip balm and moisturising my face. I’m going to finish the course of this medication which I believe lasts for 6 months. I have heard that this medication and effect your mood and depression. I can’t comment on this because I’ve had a couple of life factors happen recently which have caused me low mood, so I don’t really know if it is the medication or if it is what’s happened in my personal life. Nethertheless, I am really happy with the results of clearing my acne and making my skin and face feeling brand new!
