Hi have had acne ever since I got out of high school (19 yrs old) and I am now 23. I went to the derm and she prescribed me Sulfur Sulfacetamide. It worked but then my acne came back. I am now on Neotrex Isotretinoin 10mg (One per day) I am about 3 weeks in. I am thinking of taking it for 6months but I don’t know if that dosage is to low for my acne. Can someone answer my question please. Based on my acne will 10mg per day for 6 months be effective for me? Or do I need higher dosage?

Highly recommend 40mg. 10mg is not gonna give you the results you want. I can promise you that. Please try to up the dosage to 40mg as 10mg will take a way longer course maybe 12 months to a year and a half to completely see results..

You should really ask your Dr. this question.My experience- maybe a small dosage for now& it may change month to month. I am 44 I've been on Isotretinoin, twice, each time I was on it for 6 MOS 1St month I was on 20 mg now I am on 40 mg 2x's a day. I also weigh 190-so all this is taken into factor when your Dr dosage you. So perhaps being patient & in due time you shall know.kris
