How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

End of week 5
I'm coming up to the end of week 5.
My skin broke out a bit but nothing too hectic. It would look better, then break out, then look better and then break out again. But it finally seems to be calming down. I'm not getting the horrible cysts on my neck anymore thank goodness. Those were difficult to cover up.
My lips are still very dry. My skin was dry and sensitive at the beginning but not sensitive anymore. It's still a bit dry but not that bad. Overall this has been a very good experience. I did get some ezcema on my arms which I've never gotten before, so that is new.
So overall I'm very happy :) Oh and I'm still on 20mg a day. No change in dosage.

Accutane 20mg a Day
I'm on day 6 of accutane, 20mg a day. This is my fourth course of accutane. The first one I did over 15 years ago. Wasn't on it long enough (about 5 months) so acne came back. Second course straight after that for 8 months. Had beautiful, clear skin for years. About 5 years ago (so 10 years after initial treatment), my acne returned due to major stress, but definitely not as bad as it was before. Went on a low dose and it worked. Came off to have kids and now 2 kids and a about 4 years later, it's back. Again, it's not as bad as it was before, but I am done dealing with pimples. So I'm on a low dose again for 4 months. I am not sure that is long enough so will see how it does and speak to my derm.
So day 6, I'm experiencing headaches, small bursts of pain in my ear, dry lips, very sensitive skin, dry eyes. Skin has erupted in painful cyst like pimples. Skin looks way worse but I know it gets worse before it gets better, so whilst it sucks, I'm just carrying on with life.
