Opting for surgery in Turkey presented a cost-effective alternative to U.S. prices, encompassing not just the procedure but also a 5-star hotel stay and transportation, highlighting Turkey's renown in plastic surgery. As an American I was a big apprehensible to go to Turkey without knowing the language, but I was reassured that English was a well spoken second language there.
Travel adjustments and a minor scam encounter with a driver—a situation swiftly communicated to West Aesthetics—were part of my adventure. At the Lionel Hotel, the wide range of food and the ubiquity of English-speaking staff significantly eased my stay. A tip for future travelers: carry small U.S. currency for tipping convenience. I found the hotel's amenities like the massage area and gym invaluable, though I emphasize the need to bring a robe, slippers, and importantly, electric converters purchased prior to arrival in Turkey for post-surgery comfort.
