Procedure scheduled for 4/21/17! I chose Dr. Connors given his very high level of education and training, his great focus on me during consultative appointments (gave me all of the information I needed and spent plenty of time discussing my goals with me), and the before and after results of his past patients that have done similar procedures. I also appreciate that he uses a Board Certified Anesthesiologist who I was able to discuss my concerns about anesthesia for the procedure with directly. Finally everyone I have interacted with in the office has been fantastic!

So excited for you! Are you feeling more excited or nervous at this point? How long have you wanted to do this for yourself?

Had my flanks, abdominals and chin liposuction, including abdominal etching, procedure this morning! Got there at 6:30 am and everyone - nurses, doctors, physician assistants were wonderful! Met with the nurse to take vitals, the anesthesiologist, Dr. Drake, to review my medical history one final time and then Dr. Connors, the plastic surgeon, to be marked up for the procedure and discuss desired results and areas of focus. From there I was given a anti-anxiety medication and once that sunk in was led into the operating room. I got on the table which feels like a really nice bed and then I don't remember anything until I was in my car (not driving of course!) on the way home as I was intubated under general anesthesia. I left his office around noon so a little over five hours for the whole procedure with 2.5 hours under the general anesthesia.

Tonight I am just resting, watching TV, taking walks around my home to keep the blood flowing and hitting the Gatorade intensely. Pain is tolerable with medication at this point but the areas of abdominal etching is super super sore as expected.

I woke up in a really nice body and chin wrap which I have to keep on for a week so I haven't seen any results yet but I was informed it was a very successful procedure.

I will update this following my post-op visit on 4/28.

Five-Days Post Operative - Great Results So Far!

Today is five-days post operative and I am showering (finally) to go in for my first post operative appointment. I think the results to date look fantastic and will only improve as swelling and bruising continue to go down over the coming weeks and months.

I will say that while warned and expected the pain involved has been very intense at times and that if you are considering this procedure you should be well aware that you will be in severe pain for several says regardless of the pain medicine provided.

Everyone at Dr. Connors office continues to be fantastic! I don't know why anyone would pick a different place to have surgery.
