Abdominal and Back Liposuction at Girin Plastic Surgery (1 Month & 3 Months Post-Op)

Getting liposuction at Girin was my first time having surgery, so I was understandably nervous. But from the very beginning, the team at Girin made me feel comfortable and supported. I had abdominal and back liposuction, and I’m very satisfied with how everything went.

Before the surgery, my doctor took the time to clearly explain everything to me, which helped ease my nerves and set realistic expectations. He told me that the fat on my lower back could improve by about 80%, and the upper and lower abdomen would likely show around 70–80% improvement. He also reassured me that they’d try to smooth everything out as much as possible.

One thing I really appreciated was how thorough he was. He explained that liposuction removes subcutaneous fat but not visceral fat. So if I wanted to maintain or improve my results even more, I’d still need to manage my diet and keep up with exercise after surgery.

He also recommended including the bra line and “wing” fat for a more balanced result, estimating about 60–70% improvement in those areas, and said I’d see a nice slimming effect around the bra line. I have a tattoo on my back, and he was very careful to avoid the tattoo lines when planning the incisions. He did mention that the incision in the center of the back might retain some pigmentation for a while that was something to keep in mind, especially if you wear open-back clothing often. Lastly, he emphasized the importance of wearing my compression garment for at least one month post-op, and I made sure to follow that exactly.

The surgery itself went really smoothly, and surprisingly, the recovery wasn’t as tough as I imagined. I had some mild soreness during the first week, but I was able to return to work by day 5, and by the second week, I felt almost fully recovered. My surgical manager stayed in touch with me on WhatsApp and answered all my questions clearly and kindly, which made everything so much less stressful.

Now that I’m 3 months post-op, I can genuinely say I feel amazing. My silhouette is so much more defined, my waist looks slimmer, and I feel more confident in clothes I used to avoid. I’ve even gotten compliments from friends and family and I’m finally starting to enjoy looking at myself in the mirror again.

I’m really happy I chose Girin for my first surgery. The staff were professional, kind, and supportive from start to finish. If I ever decide to get anything else done in the future, I’ll definitely be going back.
