I learned to effectively do peels on my self and my friends. We all love the results. We tried many different types of peels. Glycolic peel didn't have nearly as good of result . It burned a lot when applying, while it works, and the pain is horrible when neutralizing. TCA burns a bit when applying but neutralizes as you go so the stinging goes away. The results are far more dramatic. More healing time with TCA but it did help with my scars and making my skin glow. I haven't done a peel in a while however; it did hinder my ability to tan on my face.

I loved the effects on my face I get tons of compliments now. I did a self treatment 40% peel and cross treatment.It cost me $15 for the solution. The cross treatment has had great results on my ice pick scars. It does take a few treatments.I used TCA on my legs to fade some sun spots. It worked well on all except one spot. I was getting dressed when a button scraped against the healing spot. Now I have a large red brown spot where it was scraped.For about 8 weeks I have been using 2% Hydroquinone cream and I haven't seen any results.

Its great if you know someone who can safely help you apply it. Its very cost effective. Start with a low level (dilute a lot) and work your way up. Do your research. If you are a tanning fanatic like my self it does effect ability to hold color on peel area.
