OMG im so sorry this has happened to you im sure it will be ok in the end as is not fillers just botox and botox is suppose to wear off but im sorry i dont know how long it will take ,my whole face swelled up i had black eyes my lids were almost closed and underneath my eyes and cheeks swelled up because i was allergic to either the botox or lidocane which is quite rare and its taken a week for the swelling to almost go and the bruising is so much better i can now go out have you been back to your provider if so what did he say?

Is your lid any better at this point? I know this may sound crazy but can you use flesh colored surgical tape to at least open your eye? It has been 1 month for me and my lid has started to slightly lift. It is better during the day when my eye is not tired..... Can your Doctor do anything for you? Try another MD and get a second opinion. You just have to be as patient as you possibly can....I know it is extremely difficult to go through this but there are so many of us feeling your pain and experiencing the same problem! Watch funny shows to make you laugh and try to take your mind off of yourself, it worked for me....Take care

I underwent a Botox treatment 5 yrs ago... I was told the Botox was injected into a blood vessel and lead to a huge infection where I swelled up all around my eye to my cheekbone. Long story short to nodules remained on my upper lid then moved. That's when the damage occurred... for 5 yrs now, EVERY morning if feels like glass in my right eye and I need to manually open it or wait laying down until that piece of Botox settles somewhere else. The microscopic Botox sits on a nerve ending in my eye. No more Botox! So stupid me decided to trust another surgeon 5 years later to address my forehead lines using a combination of Fractura and Facetite.... the result? I now have a DENT in my forhead... I am waiting to find out if this is bone or fatty tissue... on my way to a clinic at 2 a.m. when no one is around to have a CT Scan to determine if it is bone... feels like a dent in my skull! Anyone undergoing cosmetic procedures... mistakes HAPPEN and it can happen to you more than once!! What are the odds!!!

I agree with your questions...botox isn't going to be around 5 years later and certainly not move around when laying down.

OMG!!! this is harsh and you will be this way for months!! this story makes me want to run from any CLINIC!

I just had my botox with a similar reaction, my left eye is noticeably different. I went back to the Doctor and he said he didn't notice anything. I have freinds that walk up to me and ask what is wrong. It's been two weeks for me and no difference yet. With you on this one and hope we will both be better soon.

Things are better! They will improove. the botox that migrated through th tissue and got to the wrong muscle does wear off. trust me baout being embarrassed...my eye was completely shut. my doctor has been great and very fare. he refunded my money and felt horrble. the good thing is that ist is temporary and you will see a difference as the weeks go bye, I promise.

missisteela, Yes, but not all the way. I am at about 75%. I was really stressed out and very unhappy. If i am really lucky, this will all go away in the next few weeks. I wear my sunglasses still and peoples still stare, but i am on my way to being 'normal' again! My Doc has been wonderful and supportive. i would go to him again just for that.
