Stitches out filler in upper lip
I had my stitches out yesterday. It's red but I have sensitive skin so that's normal for me. One side that's irritated I've realized is because I'm spitting a stitch inside the nostril. Overall it's going well and I'm looking more normal. My feeling and stiffness in my upper lip is better ever day and the swelling that lingers under my nose is getting better slowly too. I'm pretty surprised at how awesome the incision looks at this point. Far better than I expected at this point even though I'm having the spitting stitch issue the rest looks flawless. I had the dr. Do a tad bit of filler in my upper lip to define my side lip lines and plump them up a bit like I'm used to before I had my filler dissolved for the procedure. It made a great difference immediately. My swelling from the filler has subsided for this pic so this is pretty much how it will stay .

Slight infection
Hi guys, I'm feeling pretty good. I have tingling and the feeling is coming back to my upper lip slowly. The swelling has gone down some on the sides of my nose and lip but the center is still swollen and causing the central part to still remain unnaturally high. It does seem to be slightly better each day though I think. I had my filler dissolved from my upper lip before this procedure by someone else and I think they used to much stuff to dissolve it. It's like my upper lip got smaller than it was even before I ever started using filler. Especially on the side vermillion border of my top lip. Anyway, I'm thinking some conservative filler to outline just the side parts or the upper lip to our turn them and maybe a little underneath the central red part of the upper lip might help the overall look. I knew going into this procedure I would probably still use filler to achieve a bit more fullness but in the past filler only accentuated my long upper lip and caused a duck look. I know that won't be a concern anymore. I'm going to ask dr Epstein at my next appointment what he thinks about that . I'll post again after my stitches are removed. Oh and I'm posting some close ups of a minor infection I have going on in one nostril but they do at least show you the delicate sutures and incision line I have since it's a bit different than a lot of them I see on here. I have very prominent nostril sils so this incision worried me a bit but I think it's going to be good. At least on the one side it looks perfect and it's hard to tell at this point on the other side because of the irritation and stuff going on in the infected side. Dr Epstein was quick to respond to my emailed questions this morning and put me on a different antibiotic and told me to switch my ointments because some people can have a reaction to the Bacitracin I was sometimes using. Hopefully this will resolve it. I did have a similiar thing after a rhinoplasty so I think it's just me.

Your incision is beautiful! Be patient you will get there. The most annoying part about this surgery is the healing process a lot longer then rhino - from my experience anyway. Your surgeon is very good! Beautiful lip lift x
