Week 3... Is something happening??

Well, I am half way through week three. The trays are definitely tighter than the previous week. I feel like my teeth are starting to move a bit, because when I take out my trays it feels like I’m going to pull my teeth out with them! Also, my teeth are sore just in general. I noticed this morning when I was flossing that it was much easier for me to get the floss between my teeth... This has always been an issue for me. My teeth are so crowded that it has always been difficult to get the floss between them. But this morning, I noticed on many of them, that I was able to get the floss in without a struggle.
As for the pain, it is quite manageable. I mean, I can feel the discomfort, but it’s nothing that I can’t handle. I noticed with this third tray that when I put them back in after eating, or having them out for a period of time, then I feel the soreness in my mouth.
I’m wondering if anyone has experienced any of their attachments coming off or getting smaller. It seems like when I put the tray in, mainly on my upper jaw, it pushes against the attachments. The one on my front tooth feels a bit smaller than it did initially… Any advice out there or experience on this type of thing?
I’m heading to the dentist tomorrow, the regular dentist, for a cleaning and check up… I will be curious to see what they say.
That’s it for now! I’m happy to say that I am just as excited now as I was on week one. Granted, it’s only three weeks in, but I’m so excited about seeing results!

Week 2!

Well, I’m 4 days in to tray 2/week 2, and my tongue and lips are not nearly as sore as they were. The tray is definitely tighter, & it’s harder to get off... I feel like some of my attachments are either chipped away or gone. I am scheduled to go back at week 10... wondering if I should go back before then to have three look to see... thoughts? One thing that seems to be more prevalent this week is how my lips feel like they are sticking to my teeth... almost like a dry mouth, but it’s not dry! Is it just that my lips are a little “rougher” than before so it just feels different? ???? Anyway, over all it’s going great and I am still beyond excited about my journey to straight teeth!!

Week 2!

I am four days into the week too… And the soreness in my mouth has pretty much subsided. I’m finding that with these new trays there’s a bit of an edge, so I will be filing them down little bit to keep my tongue and lips from scraping.

One thing I am noticing more this week is that my lips seem to be sticking to the outside of my teeth. lol It almost feels like I have a dry mouth, but I don’t… It’s weird. I’m guessing it’s because the inside of my lips have toughened up a bit and are still kind of rubbing. Anyway, overall I am really happy and just plain excited to be heading toward straight teeth! Some days I feel like I want to take the tree out because I’m just tired of wearing it all the time… But, I have been religious about wearing 22 hours a day!

Of course, I don’t see any movement yet, but the second set of trays definitely tighter and I have a hard time getting them out. Sometimes it feels like my teeth are going to come out with them! lol

That’s it for now… Stay tuned!
