Had my appointment for fillers with Dr. Vargas...

Had my appointment for fillers with Dr. Vargas back in January. I've always been extremely thin and had noticed a loss of volume in my cheeks/under eye area, and also a lot of sleep wrinkles forming around my nose & mouth. To start correcting the loss of volume in my cheeks, I had two syringes of voluma spread out over my chin & cheeks over two appointments. I also had a bit injected into the side of my nose where there's a dent and in the bridge area to soften and slope the projection of my nose.
The pain level for the injections was at it's most painful.. maybe a 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. It was kind of gross to be able to hear the needle going in and felt really weird, but pain was mild. Even the next few days, I experienced no bruising, minimal swelling, and minimal pain. Awesome!
Dr. Vargas had told me that while Voluma was supposed to last for two years, it was really more dependent on your own metabolism. It's been six months since I got mine injections and I can already see a few spots along my nose/chin that need touch-ups, but I really wanted to get a good feel for it before writing a review.
Overall, I'm really glad that I worked up the nerve to get my fillers. I enjoyed working with Dr. Vargas and I forget the name of her assistants, but they were both so lovely and welcoming. I will be returning to Dr. Vargas to address the touch-up spots and my sleep wrinkles, but also to do some subtle lip fillers. I love Dr. Vargas's artistic eye, nothing looks artificial.

2 Year Update

Well, it's finally been two years since I had voluma fillers and everything has finally dissolved. The Voluma in my cheeks and chin metabolized after about a year, but it was all fairly subtle anyway, I think I only used two or three syringes split between the bridge of my nose, a dip on the side of my nose, both cheeks, and my chin. I was so surprised that the filler in the bridge of my nose and the dent along the bridge actually lasted the full two years. I never think about getting my cheeks redone, I put on about twenty much need pounds and my face looks fuller and more youthful just from that alone. I'm 30 looking 25 thanks to a little fat! I also didn't like that I could see the filler in my cheeks when I smiled and hated feeling like I had Instagram puff face! The only thing I would do now is get filler in the bridge of my nose again, especially because it lasted the full two years and was so natural looking, but for now I'm happy with aging naturally. I still really like Dr. Vargas, and would go with her again for nose filler only.
That's great, thank you for your review! Do you have any pics you can post? Love to see your results!
How many syringes did you have injected overall?
