3nd Procedure...

3nd and hopefully final procedure, the size of the implant I had was too short for the length of my lip and the implant is able to shift over for that reason.  The doctor Jeffrey placed the next size (length) implant.

Thanks for updating! Are you loving it? Can anyone that's in your life on a daily/weekly basis tell a difference?

How are you doing with the Permalip? How long did it take for your swelling to completely go down? I still have bruises and lumps. I'm assuming at this point the lumps are swelling being one week post Permalip placement. Hope your loving your lips.

Hi, I'm sorry, just now I saw your other message, the swelling went down with 2 weeks, I took ibuprofen and it helped me a lot, when I open my mouth or smile I still have pain. Well, I'm not liking them, they're very hard, I feel the implants all the time, my husband is not liking them either, I'm thinking of asking the doctor to remove them and do the fat transfer. I hope you will love your new lips :)

Curious if he charged you for a new implant? If so how much? Did you get used to them or remove them? I think my bottom implant broke or was damaged because I can't feel the skinny end. The fat part causes a bump on the side. I really hate to bother him again but I think I'd rather absolutely love them than to have a bump bother me. I figured even if I pay 700 for a new implant it's still less than what I would have paid elsewhere. Hope you are loving your lips!

I'm sorry to hear that, he'll try to make the last correction on my bottom lip, I paid only $ 1500 the first time, he didn't charge extra, because it's not our fault. Come back to him as fast as you can, probably he'll change the implant as he did mine, when you call to schedule the return, let they know that you want to do it in the same day, because otherwise they'll ask you to come back another day.

Hi there! I had implants placed 3 weeks ago and have mixed feelings about them. I do like my plump lips but there are some slight imperfections. Not sure if it will stay like that or get better/worse. 3 weeks might be too early to see the end result. Did you end up taking out yours? Or he was able to fix them eventually and you still have them? Thanks!

I’m not sure what imperfections you are referring to. No ones face is symmetrical so whatever asymmetry you had it will be more noticeable. Wait another week or so. If it’s the placement of an implant then you’ll go back and have it put in differently or removed. They never heal in one place and keep moving but tend to sit off to the side. My friend went back and had it redone. It can be fixed by making the incision in the center and tunneling to each side measured to fit, then secured with a stitch. The bottom one you’ll always feel and it’s annoying. The upper one you’ll forget about. I kept the upper. Now I just get a lot of filler regularly. The implant makes a nice base for it. What you really want and what does make a significant difference is the upper lip lift done by a sub nasal excision. Also look into tenting technique with fillers, aka Russian lip technique which allows more lip to show vs just ducky plumpness.

Thanks for your comment! I loved your posts and videos when you had yours done! I had mine done with the same doctor. I have incisions in the middle of lips. The implants are centered perfectly especially bottom lip. The only thing is I feel like one end of my top implant is showing more and isn’t as deep as the other one. Maybe it’s just me because it is in my lips. Once it’s not noticeable I will probably just leave it alone. I had no lips to begin with, and now looking at the pics I took right before surgery, my mouth were so crooked, and my nose too. :) Amazing how we never notice natural imperfections but we do every tiny thing after whatever surgery. I guess no lips makes it harder to put in 5mm implant. My healing was rough. Finally all bruising is gone and I look normal and movement is coming back. They do look perfect with lipstick on. I never had filler before. Was a big change. Of course I’m liking it at this point. Really fun especially selfies!

I actually don’t feel my bottom lip but I am very aware of my top. Maybe because I have middle incisions that pull more. I’m sure it will go away and I will get used to it. I was looking into lip lift but I can’t get myself a scar on my face. My nose is more up and the scar would be really showing. Also sometimes it widens your nose and I’m not looking for that. Also you can get whatever complications like after any surgery and that would be right on my face that I can’t have. Also it can drop back and you would have to get revision done. And the major no for me is it is irreversible. Implants are easy just take them out and there won’t be any outside scars. Don’t really care about inside of my mouth. Once you had a piece of skin gone, that’s it. It is gone and nothing you can do about it but have it for the rest of your life. I know there are really good results and high satisfaction level of lip lifts. But I’m not there yet at this point. Staying on the safe side for now.

Problem with my lower implant...

User Avatar

I had problem with my lower lip, the implant was in the wrong position, I was biting my lip, the surgeon removed the lower implant and made a new tunnel, that's where I feel why my first implant hurts a lot, it was many days of a lot of pain, he made the tunnel very down, now he's done the other tunnel more up, I'm not in pain. I believe the problem is because my lips was very thin. The doctor didn't charge anything extra, he proposed to do the new surgery to correct the problem and he did it at the same time, because I live in the another State. He did a great job on my top lip, I hope he corrected the problem in my lower lip. I'm sorry, my English isn't very good.
